Genius NewSketch 1212 III
Review of Genius NewSketch 1212HRIII v.2 - digitizer, cursor (puck), stylus by
bindie
Advantages: A4 Size Sketch Pad, the number of pressure points
Disadvantages: Big, wired stylus
I bought this because I needed to draw in depth CAD diagrams. It looked good because it was A4 size so I though that I could get a lot of detail into the diagram. I opened the box, took out all the contents, and found the installation book, and another piece of paper. It showed me how to connect the tablet to my PC, I though it would be easy, and that I would have to look at the instructions, but I found my self looking at them after about 5 minutes. ... ...I found that I could control the mouse with the stylus while dragging it across the tablet (pretty cool). When I eventually got down to doing my diagrams, I found that there was no drawing software provided. So I had to order a software package.
I would have thought that the product would have come with some kind of drawing package. The software that comes on the CD has a help guide, and a game, but the game isn't that good. I have the tablet under ...

HP Wireless Laser Mini Mouse
Review of HP Wireless Laser Mini Mouse - mouse by
Derek844
Advantages: None, over a standard optical mouse.
Disadvantages: Short operating range
I bought this mouse because I needed a mouse urgently and this was the only one available with a known name.
Realistically, how much space do you save in a laptop bag by buying a small mouse? I would rather have the comfort of a full size one.
The mouse worked straight out of the box, no problems. The resolution is good and the action of the buttons is also good.
The biggest complaint I have is that it does not seem to have a great range. If I ...

Welcome the Wacoms
Review of Wacom Volito2 digitizer, stylus by
khiadah
Advantages: Easy and simple to use
Disadvantages: Not wireless.
...found the perfect one. The Wacom Volito 2 pen tablet. It was in my price range (£20-40) and had everything i needed. I bought it and got it within 2 weeks, as soon as it came I opened it up and plugged it in. It was so simple to upload, all you had to do was plug it in and insert the disc. It also came with a manual which walked you through it. The disc manual told you which buttons do what and all the things you could do with it.
The tablet may ... ...does not. You could put it in your pocket and take it anywhere with you.
You can draw, write basically anything with it. If you ever have the problem of the pen turning bad you can just buy a new one.
Along with the game you get a free art programme (ArtRage 2) and any other programme advertised with the product on their website for free. I recently recieved an update for the art programme which also improved the drawing capability. I have done ...

Works like magic
Review of Trust Wireless Optical Mouse MI-4910D - mouse by
grafter123
Advantages: Fully portable, ergonomically designed, easy to use, great value
Disadvantages: Durability?
...have found it excellent.
Trust make a fair range of computer accessories all at affordable prices. The wireless mouse came packed in a huge box. Well not huge but you know what I mean. There was far too much packaging which in these eco friendly days is a pain. Opening up the box
there is:-
The mouse.
A pack of two double A batteries.
A small USB connector.
A small amount of paperwork with instructions.
There was also a small credit card sized ... ...mouse.
OVERALL
This Trust wireless mouse was £6.49 from Asda and so represents great value. Overall I am very pleased with this product and it has proved to be very useful. If you are thinking of buying please bear in mind my comments regarding durability though. On the whole though this wireless mouse is a product which lives up to its claims and will not cost a fortune.

Are you ILLUSTRATIVE?
Review of Wacom Cintiq 12WX - digitizer, stylus by
Mr.Freeman
Advantages: The best in its field
Disadvantages: Costs around £800
...one of the high market Wacom models. The Cintiq 12WX came to our college wrapped in technological warmth and love, and with every part we opened, I soon found that this model was nothing like the others. The model consists of a small, thin A4 size piece of equipment with a smooth anti scratch screen and Digital Pen. I had heard that it was just like using a digital form of paper to store work, but I hadn't expected a technological wonder piece. After ... ...first go as I'm a bit of a fanatic about the Wacom range. The pen slid effortlessly over the screen and it created a perfect line that not even a pencil could reproduce. Quite simply a masterpiece. If you don't look at the pricetag, you won't feel guilty buying it! ...
