Excellent ball, the rest is awful
Review of Kensington Expert Mouse trackball by
andycted
Advantages: Size, ergonomics
Disadvantages: Price, drivers, compatibility, customer support, noisy
While the actual trackball is an excellent piece of equipement (big, ergonomic, plenty of buttons), everything else is quite wrong when you buy it. The price is probably double what it should be, and for that money you get a very lousy customer support: no answers, or automated answers that don\'t pertain to the problem. Another problem is that the drivers are poorly designed and have plenty of conflicts with dotnet applications, like random crashes, ...

The Ultimate Mouse - No doubt
Review of Kensington Orbit Elite - trackball by
TW13UK
Advantages: No mouse mat needed, Stationary operation, Helps prevent R.S.I
Disadvantages: May require regualr cleaning
The Kensington Orbit Elite Trackball is by far the best mouse I have used. Over the years it is easy to get throught mice as they become dirty and clogged up. This one is different and the manufacturer must also believe in the product as it comes with a 5 year warranty. I have had mine for about 3 years now and there is slight wear on the left mouse button, however the rubber panel that runs down the middle of the device is showing no wear or tear ... ...you are one for eating at your computer as crumbs and dirt on your hands will stick to the ball and find its way on to the runners inside the mouse. I find that taking the mouse apart and cleaning it throughout has and will preserve the life of the device and make it funtion at its best.
There is no need for a mouse mat as the mouse stays stationary, therefore reducing the potential of incuring R.S.I in the long term. The device requires far less ...

Lovely blue light
Review of Kensington Orbit Elite Wireless - trackball by
aphrablack
Advantages: Smooth scrolling, easy on the hands, fast and responsive
Disadvantages: Dies eventually
...do die, eventually, but my Kensington hasn't yet - and this is by far the best one I've tried. It doesn't seem to get sticky and dirty and sluggish like the older models. It just glides. One little push and my cursor's right across the screen, if I let it freewheel.
The price is really reasonable - I think I paid just under £30 for mine from Viking Direct, who, by the way, I would recommend as a great office supplier.
And this appeals so much to ... ...- the big blue marble lights up when you touch it. Ohhhh! It's like having an electronic pet. Bless. I'm sure there are sensible reasons for it lighting up, too, but I just love the pretty blue light.
And, of course, to be sensible, if you spend as many hours on a computer as I do, you'll want to avoid RSI. A trackball helps with this. Not to mention the stress-free ease of not having to rev your silly little wheeled mouse up and down your desk.

This is one weird 'wild' mouse... ;)
Review of Kensington Orbit trackball by
Saiyan
Advantages: Bi - handed allowed, sleek (and modern), saves space, V.easy to use and it goes on.
Disadvantages: Dust may cause problems - but its not as bad as the dust affects on a typical mouse.
Kensington Orbit Elite Kensington - http://www.kensington.com. I’m not to sure if Kensington is a well known brand. All I know is that they are a computing business whom produces various computing products such as mice and wireless products. So far I’ve heard many positive feed backs from consumers who have bought Kensington products. I’m not to sure but I believe Kensington are slowly building up there companies image to represent their high quality ... ...many models (families) of the Kensington Orbit.
I have decided to review the ‘KENSINGTON ORBIT ELITE TRACKBALL model: 64292’
After putting up with the average mouse I decided to buy an alternate product that did the same features as a mouse.
Why? The reason I changed my typical average mouse is because dust kept forming within the mouse (where the ball is place) this dust basically didn’t let the ball make contact with the cylinder rods that are ...

Definitely Expert
Review of Kensington Expert Mouse Pro - trackball by
Engineer2000
Advantages: Easily configurable for own preference
Disadvantages: Position of scrolling wheel
...a different model in the Kensington Range, I decided to try it, since then I have never looked back and really hate having to use a mouse on other peoples computers.
The trackball is about 5cm in diameter, which makes it easy to use with multiple fingers and thus easier to manipulate. The four main action keys are located around the trackball in accessible positions that can be reached without having to stretch your fingers meaning less strain is ... ...set to launch either websites or applications. I have a mixture of websites and applications on mine and it makes such a difference not having to scroll through menus to find your regularly used applications.
The scroll wheel is for me its one downfall; it is located above the trackball in a rather awkward position requiring the use of the tip of you finger. This is nearly impossible for me since I have little strength in my fingertips. I've been ...
