My Pet Mouse
Advantages: Quality. Sleek. Durable. Responsive Disadvantages: Range Is A BIt Short.
...too flashy, not too tacky. Microsoft slapped their logo across the back of the mouse and I expect that this will wear away soon, but it's not big or ugly at all.
The mouse is approved by a professional ergonomist, Hugh McLoone of Microsoft and if you want you can download ‘Intellipoint’ from www.microsoft.com/hardware. This allows you to just point and press to enlarge and edit image details. The mouse can also be purchased as part of the keyboard ... ...Anything else? Well there is a connect button underneath the mouse to let the receiver know it’s ready to use.
I got mine from Staples because I had a discount voucher to use there and so far I think it was a good buy. As I said, the worst thing would be if the batteries ran out quickly, but the box does say 6+ months, and being Microsoft, they should at least know how to build a quality mouse. There would be something seriously wrong if they couldn’t.

Great durable mouse, nothing too fancy
Advantages: A good standard mouse with Microsoft quality Disadvantages: Wire a bit big; mouse quite light, feels quite light so feels a bit flimsy
...new version 2 of the Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse that looks like this: http://www.microsoft.com/canada/fr/mac/otherproducts/images/m18BOM.jpg - and overall its a fantastic basic mouse that is sure to last for years.
Like I said in the review title, there's nothing fancy here just a standard optical mouse with a scroll wheel. If you want a basic mouse that will surely last for years to come, get the Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse.
The only gripe ... ...to use it for a laptop this may be a minor inconvenience. The mouse itself is quite light and some may want a mouse that has a bit of weight to it. Overall, however, a good solid mouse.
You may be able to find this mouse cheaper online such as Amazon.co.uk, than in retail stores. I've also tried ver 1 of this mouse (the one in the picture on the ciao website) and its just as good as the mouse I have, does the job well. ...

Works anywhere - absolutely fantastic
Advantages: Works anywhere, extremely responsive, robust, well designed Disadvantages: Not wireless, only three buttons (I don't consider these as serious disadvantages)
...down in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word. - Additionally, if you "click" the wheel (press it down), you get the ability to make the screen autoscroll up and down at the speed you like.
- It's robust and durable - I've had a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer die on me because of bad design (it was designed such that the USB cable get tugged while in use, and it eventually breaks; I think this is fixed in the later versions) - this is a lot better. ... ...buttons, I'll go for the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical.
I do like the black model more than the cream coloured one.
Overall, I rate this as a great product, and well worth your money. At the time of review, I found I could buy this online at £7+, on Ebay for an average of £10 (although there was one person selling a new one for under £4 including delivery). I personally would not pay more than £10 - but I wouldn't pay more than £10 for any mouse ...

A welcome mouse infestation
Advantages: super responsive, easy to use, buttons can be customized, good design, excellent manufacturer support Disadvantages: no
...and its all thanks to Microsoft and the fact that they don't charge extortionate prices for this product.
As far as connecting the mouse to the computer is concerned it is unlike most other in its range. It can either be attached to the mouse port, but it also has a USB connection so I can also used on a laptop. I have used both and it realy is very easy to do. A driver has to be put on the PC or laptop but this is very quick to do and not complacted ... ...did, it would also work on it.
Instead of using a ball it uses motion sensors so there is no issue with performance being hampered as the interior becomes clogged up with dust and other bits that sit on work surfaces. As far as responsiveness is concerned I think this is fantastic. The slightest movement of the mouse results in immediate movement of the onscreen cursor. I am left handed so normally I have problems with using a mouse but the design ...

That lovely little thingy!
Advantages: Comfortable, looks good, long battery life, works well Disadvantages: Bad packaging, not cheap
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000
Don't you just hate it when you play a race game on your computer and the wire of your mouse makes you lose the game? Yes, I bought my new wireless mouse for this trivial reason. I found it on Amazon for £14.64 and although I could have bought it for less from a different shop or website, I bought from Amazon for the obvious reason of having some Amazon vouchers that I wanted to get rid of. And, considering ... ...more than a year and a half ago and it's still in a perfect working order, I probably shouldn't have bought this one. Consumerism is bad!
I bought this mouse with a couple of other stuff that I didn't need much, and they all had the same fitting plastic cover. Why do they make these kinds of stupid packaging? The packaging of this one in particular was so thick that I cut my fingers when I was struggling to open it with a Swiss knife. Why don't ...
