Advantages Excellent, thought provoking writer
Disadvantages Chooses complicated science to explain theories - bad if you hate science!
Michael Cordy is an exellent author whose work follows the same sort of trail as that of Dan Brown - except without the crazy grail theories!
He's written four books, however, just to complicate things a little, the names of the books varies. I think they were re-titled to higher the sales figures, as the second time they were released they wer given more commercial names.Cordy worked for ten years in marketing before deciding to become an author and he then wrote his first book originally called The Miracle Strain but then renamed The Messiah Code.
The Messiah Code, following the story of Dr Tom Carter who's wife has just bee killed by an assasin's bullet which was meant for him, is struggling with his grief whilst at the same time trying to save his dying daughter. He has only one hope, and it lies with the blood of a man who died two thousand years ago.The Messiah Code is now sold in over twenty five countris andis a huge success.

The Crime Code (previously released as Crime Zero) in which gene therapy is used to try and stop people from committing crime. However there are some who want to take Project Conscience a step further and turn it into Crime Zero, a sinister plot to stop crime dead, with terrible consequences.
Finally, The Lucifer Code (previously released as Lucifer) is about the time long question of what happens when we die. Oblivion, or something more? There are some who are willing to do anything to prove there is something after death, and it doesn't matter how many die to prove it.Out of the four, the most famous and best known is definately the Messiah Code, although my favourite is the Romeo and Juliet-esque Venus Conspiracy which seems a more real book and the idea of a drug making people falling in love scared me silly!
The weakest of the four is most probably the Crime Code, not because there is anything wrong with it per se, it's just not as action packed and intruiging as the other and I think it focuses too much on the relationship between the main characters Kathy and Luke. The Messiah Code is good but seems a little too unrealistic to be as entrancing as some of the others. Then again, it would appeal a lot to anyone who's a fan of the grail quest/conspiracy type novels which are released in their hundreds today.
The Lucifer Code is also a bit unlikely, but is filled with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat, and that makes up for any minor descrepencies in the plot.Michael Cordy writes fast paced, intruiging novels, often with a big dose of science thrown in their. I find his books riveting, and I often lean things by reading them without even realising I'm doing so. I would recommend this author to any book fans and cannot wait fo him to write another book for me to become absorbed in.
