OVERVIEW
This really is an essential addition to any child's bookshelf. It contains a huge range of children's poetry, from limericks to nonsense rhymes.
The poems have been selected by the talented writer MichaelRosen, including poems by Hardy, Longfellow and Williams. The poems are arranged in different sections, in alphabetic order of authors- this is helpful as if you or your child have a favourite author, it is easy to find their poems. There is also an index of first lines and titles at the back.

Advantages: A fun story with a good meaning. Disadvantages: Bit too old for my youngest.
After reading this rather wonderful yet unusual book to my son last night, I had to review it.
The book I will now review is ?Rover? by MichaelRosen and Neal Layton.
The front cover of this book is simply a picture of a young girl and her dog on the beach, there is a beautiful blue sky behind her and there are many people playing, sunbathing, paddling and flying kites in the background, ok nothing too extraordinary so far!
It isn?t until you read the first line of the book that you realise the clever part??
?This is my pet human. Humans come in all sizes: she?s the kind who is a bit bigger than me. I named her Rover?
From that moment until the last the entire story is told from the dogs perspective. It very cleverly turns all the traits that you would associate with a pet dog ie fetching a ball, into the dog doing it ...

Little Rabbit Foo Foo is the most fabulous children's picture story book written by MichaelRosen and illustrated by Arthur Robins. It tells the story of a very naughty rabbit and the consequences that occur when he misbehaves! In fact this book can serve as a very timely warning to any mischievous children you happen to know!
As I said, Little Rabbit Foo Foo is very naughty. Well, some might describe him as naughty whereas others might just say he has a strong sense of fun! Anyway, regardless of how you might view him, Little Rabbit Foo Foo has a rather annoying habit of scooping up various small and not so small creatures in his large net and 'bopping them on the head!' This behaviour does not go unnoticed by a good fairy though who warns him that she does not like his attitude. She gives him three chances to change his behaviour but ...
