Advantages: An entertaining read and a warning
Disadvantages: Many will be put off as it is classified as Science-fiction and Military.

...The Weapon by Michael Z Williamson. This is a hard cover book published in August 2005 in U.S.A. So what is 'The Weapon'? Many will tell you that it is a sword, knife or even a gun. In this case it is a human man, a soldier. Not a conscript but one who volunteered to be there. Not any kind of superman but one who has gone through an intense form of military training. Lots of push ups, and sit ups and running. All designed to build up a very fit body. Add to that training in various forms of firearms and explosives. Season with lots of intelligence for escape and evasion and to understand tactics and logistics. Add an ego that knows that he is one of the best. You will have a highly trained soldier. Not one without feelings, one who will get the job done with out pity or too much emotion, but one who will feel and grieve for the innocent... Read review

Since then he has been in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. He is married with two children. His wife is also in the National Guard. He has written 5 solo books and has collaborated in a book with John Ringo. His hobbies include jumping out of perfectly good aeroplanes whilst in the air!!!(otherwise called recreational parachuting) I should say that this book was, I believe, his first book.
