Advantages: Look ok, not to expensive, good feel and turning. Disadvantages: Might not be great for really fast riders.
I did a couple of runs on main roads causing a little squaring of the tyre but no great issue. The front still looks like new and does as promised. The old Brisgestones felt twitchy turning in sharply and made the bike feel like it needed lifting out of corners, the Michelins turn in easily and evenly at all angles, giving much more confidence for me. I feel like I can approach corners with more speed and turn in calmly knowing that I'll get the same feel from the front at 30 or 60 miles per hour. With this I have been able to halve my chicken strips on the rear without feeling like I am taking a risk. I am not a fast rider but the Michelins allow me more confidense and I don't feel like I have to brake so hard before corners and can carry more speed.
All in if you are looking for a confidence inspiring road tire for a mid range ...
Advantages: relative cost, grip in wet, suits wide range of power output Disadvantages: can get 4 cars tyres for the price of one of these -
Personal history
----------------------
I first started using Michelin Macadams on my FZR 400 exup, which for the size of machine used quite a fat rear tyre (160/60/17)
I was recommended the Macadam, as the tyre which was already on the bike had got a puncture while I was riding, overheated and wore the tread away. I needed a new tyre quickly as the FZR was my main transport to work.
I have since fitted Macadams to my Suzuki RF600R, and also my Daytona 955i (by this time the Macadam 100X has been developed into the Pilot Road - but in some places is still called the Macadam).

The FZR was known for its handling, and even though the Macadam isn't supposed to be out and out sports tyre, but more of an all rounder, the grip was excellent, especially in the wet. The amount of confidence it gave me on this ...
Advantages: Cheap and excellent grip when new Disadvantages: Grip isn't as good when the tyres are older
I bough a new Clio over a year ago and the Micheling Energy tyres that were on it were just about dead, so after a few reccomendations I decided to get some Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tyres fitted to it.
They were only £60 a tyre fitted (195/50/15) was very happy with the price.
At first summer) the tyres were absolutely fantastic, had bags full of grip and when they did let go you could feel it slowly and control it.
As winter approached late last year the grip of the tyres didn't feel as good as it used to, even on warm days it wasn't the same, it felt like as the tyres were getting older the compound in them was degrading, and they weren't as good.
Up untill that point I would definately have bought them again, but wouldn't now.
When I had the tyres put on the car it had done 42k and when I sold the car with 62k on (11 ...
