For years, Microboards has provided the fastest, highest-quality duplicators in the world. Based on popular Print Factory design, the PF-2 achieves the highest throughput without sacrificing quality because it is the highest resolution CD/DVD printer on the market. And you can do it for a lower-cost-per-disc than any other printer! Additional features include a 100-disc capacity and spindled output for perfectly handled discs every time!
Advantages: "works" with Mac and Windows Disadvantages: Too many to list.
...To put it simply, this is a horrible bit of kit.
Now, going into more detail:
- The software (Discribe) is glitchy at best (running under OsX 10.4).
- The drivers (should you decide not to use Discribe) refuse to work with other programs (again, under OsX). Even though the manual says that you can install the drivers and print from any application (I tried Photoshop CS3) the printer will tell you "out of discs" even though you've fed it with discs.
-The hardware is terrible.
>Build quality is very low (bits will come unglued, yes, it is GLUED together!)
>The CD holder has some weird design whereby you need to load 5-discs flat and then the rest at some angle (no mention of this in the manual - contact their support after days of frustration to find this out)
>Speed!!! It is ludicrously slow! If you're burning, you'de be...

Advantages: Might keep you occupied for a while Disadvantages: You will only be occupied with it because of loading times
...I found Dance Factory to be an absolutely dull and useless game. I bought it early last year, hoping to finally be able to play tracks that I was interested in listening to, rather than the awful cheese that is usually supplied with a dance game. Although this is a feature, it takes ages for your song to load, so if you haven't already lost interest by the time it has finally loaded, you end up disappointed at the lack of correlation between the dance steps and the beats in the song.
Once again, the five songs supplied were truly horrific to listen to, and the graphics weren't anything to write home about either. Sure it is a playstation 2 game, and your primary focus is the arrows travelling down the screen, but I'd expected a little more effort from the designers.
I have to say that I got much more enjoyment out of the previous...

Advantages: can use your own cd's Disadvantages: eyetoy compatability doesn't seem to work
...Its another dance mat game, you can buy it for around £30 with the mat or £18 without, i believe any other PS2 mat will work fine with it tough.
Having played another dance mat game at a friends house a few times before, I was looking to get one for myself. If you haven't used a dance mat before, they're really good fun, basically you pick the music and the game brings up dance moves on the screen. Its nothing complicated just; forward, back, left and right but it varies you have to do jumps nd things, think of it as a modern day twister. The mat acts as a control pad for your feet and you hit the arrow's with your feet, depending on how accuratley (in time) you hit the arrows your awarded points accordingly. There are three levels of difficulty; easy, normal and expert. Although i don't think ill ever be able to do it on expert its...
