Pull this mini spinner out of your bag and you're only seconds away from a new CD-rewriter for any Pentium PC. Just plug it into your parallel port, PC Card slot, USB port or Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. At only 20 ounces this player is incredibly portable. Plug and play makes it fast to connect. Pack it with your notebook, or carry it between home and work. Only backpack has a smart pass-through port (for your printer) so you never lose your printer when connected to the parallel port. Get the speed you need with the USB 2.0 and PC Card interfaces, plus an exclusive parallel port benefits - works with disaster recovery and disk imaging software in DOS and provides a connecting point when USB support is not present (under Windows 95, NT 4 and DOS).

...Having had an AMD chip in my last machine (Athlon 1.1Ghz) I have been impressed over the past 3 years as to the stability and consistency of the processor.
I have never really had any major problems with the processor - apart from the processor fan failing - and, therefore, decided to stick with AMD for an upgrade.
I had a good look around, and decide on the 2600+ chipset with the 333 FSB. This will (with the correct motherboard) allow the use of DDR400 RAM which leads to performance gains.
The chip itself only set me back £75 (PC World Component Centre), and along with a new motherboard, memory (512Mb) and a new 450 power supply, the entire upgrade cost me around £350.
Now, considering that a new machine would have cost me in the region of £1500 upwards, this worked out as a very good solution.
Since purchasing the new equipment...

Advantages: Just so much cheaper than Intel Pentiums Disadvantages: Slighty confusing chip names.
...for flogging the £1000+ computer.
The AMD user however is quite different. They fall into many catagories including the gamer, the designer, the programmer etc etc. What sets the typical AMD user aside from the typical Intel user however is that a fairly high percentage of AMD users build thier own systems and would never pay the over inflated prices that computer store chains charge.
As such the Amd user is looking for quality, speed, reliability and lower costs and this is where the AMD ATHLON XP 2200+ comes into play.
Okay this is the confussing part. It isn't a 2200 mhz chip but is infact a 1800 mhz chip. Why AMD have named their chips in such a way is anyones guess but when you read the full title of the product ( AMD ATHLON XP 2200+ [1.80Ghz] 266HMZ FSB 384KB CACHE 3DNOW PRO - THOROUGHBRED CORE ) it does state quite plainly...

...I have one of these sony 2GB micro vaults and i could not live without it. The sony 2GB micro vault features 2GB of plug and play storage so there is no need to install drivers for this product as it does it for you once plugged into the computer. The sony 2GB micro vault uses a high USB 2.0 interface to connect to the computer to allow fast transfer of files. It is also compatible with USB 1.1 so the micro vault can be used on older computers aswell as newer ones. When you purchase the sony 2GB micro vault you will find a file compressor and decompressor ready installed on the memory stick. This takes hardly any space on the micro vault and is able to compress files down to three times their original size which is useful to safe space for extra files. i would advise that if the files are needed on a regular basis they should...
