I have to be honest, as I'm typing now my hand's have never navigated so freely and so comfortably over a keyboard before. The Microsoft Comfort curve Keyboard 2000 isn't just you're average keyboard, it's slim, stylish, and elegant on anyone home office desk.
I first stumbled upon this keyboard and mice at College, I noticed a wide variety of the Stone Computers had these OEM keyboards and mice that appealed to me. The one day we were able to sample these fine computer keyboards and mice and before I knew it, I was deeply adoring these keyboards. I kept telling myself I have to get myself a set, so the one day I started lifting up the keyboard and looking for the Model Name and Number, even the lecturer thought I was pretty insane.
The factors that convinced me to purchase this set was the layout of the keys, on a standard keyboard all the keys are normally arranged in straight rows, with the comfort curve they were slightly curved hence the name. This allowed my hands to navigate and type more easily in comparison with other keyboards. It's silent to type with as well, normally the keys always "click", and become rather irritating after continuous use, however the comfort curve has keys similar to a laptop keyboard and click gently. The Comfort curve as some extras such as a "Quick Keys", for your Internet Browser such as "Back", "Forward", "Home", "Search", and "Mail". it also consists of "Media Keys" for Windows Media Player "Volume", "Mute", "Play/Stop". One finishing touch that you never find on keyboards "Calculator", right above the Numeric Pad, I find that this idea as well been thought out by Microsoft as we all take for granted the "Calculator".
Moving on the Mouse, it's again sleek and stylish. When holding the mouse with you're hand, it feel's perfectly adapted to holder and is smooth to navigate the cursor. Previous computer mice I've had have been often "buggy", where the cursor often jumps across the screen randomly, especially in other optical mice. However, this mouse has done me justice. It's great to navigate on-screen, and feels great to hold. Often when browsing websites, I take advantage of it's 3rd Button where you can "Click and Scroll", without moving the mouse, I absolutely adore these features on all mice, and personally believe they should be mandatory. ~
Sadly, I've lost one of these keyboards due to a "Coffee Spill", although it says these keyboards are spill proof then perhaps this is an understatement. I tried my best to remove the coffee, and apply light splashes of water in attempt to remove the stickiness however the keyboard began to malfunction and displaying incorrect characters. However, I shortly got over my bereavement by purchasing an identical keyboard.
In conclusion, this Keyboard and Mouse is ideal for any household who want's a value for money keyboard and mouse. It's without doubt the best you could have for comfort, basically the name says it all!. Highly Recommended!
Advantages: Price, Layout, Hot Keys, Easy of Use, Quality Disadvantages: Takes a couple of weeks to get used to
...the ones to the side. Microsoft say this is for easy of use in the typical method of typing that many people use. I have to say that i took me a week or two of using the keyboard before getting used to the way that the keys are positioned and shaped. However months on i am incredibly happy with the layout as it is much easier to use and creates less strain for long periods of typing. I occasionally use the Hot Keys that are on the head of the keyboard. ... ...fact that it is a Microsoft keyboard i found it was just an easy plug in and use with Windows Vista and XP. If you touch type, like laptop keyboards, type a lot then this is the perfect keyboard for you weather you are on a budget or not. If you don't touch type then this is a great keyboard to learn on. ...

Advantages: Ergonomic layout, quiet keys and low-profile keys. Disadvantages: None actually...though a palm rest would have been more welcome.
...on a keyboard; but the Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 is a very well designed ergonomics keyboard and really feels good to use...even six months after I got it. The main QWERTY keys are laid out in a slight curve (which gradually curves more toward the lower row) and the numpad is laid out in a slight upper curve - in line with the natural movement of the user's right hand. The keys have a pretty low-profile and feel like a laptop keyboard. The response ... ...on top; in my opinion Microsoft has done a good job of selecting the buttons useful for an office use - such as launching the calculator, Email and browser, along with the volume controls. The best thing I liked about the keyboard is that the keys are very "quiet" and don't make much of a sound during continuous touch-type...really helps at work. The only thing Microsoft could have improved is if they had provided a built-in palm rest...but since ...
