Introduction
Microsoft filght simulator has been around the corner for about two decades now. With each release they provide a new dimension in the world of flight sim. Microsoft filght simulator is more than just a game, it is used by real world pilots to cope up with training so that they can actually face the real circumstances. The lastest game of the flight simulator series is called
MICROSFT FLUGHT SIMULATOR X as it is the 10th edition in the series. The game has been in the market fo quite some time now and you guys must be wondering why i am writing a review so late. Well, this review explains more than jsut the game its possibilities and its outcomes. So hold on to your seat, fasten your seatbelts as you enter the world of FSX( Flight Simulator X) with me.
FLIGHT SIMULATOR X AIRCRAFTS
Microsft flight simulator x is more of a simualot rather than a casual aircraft game where you just have to fly an aircraft with your keyboard keys. In this game you have around 24 aircrafts to fly with. This include gliders, single props singe engines to jumbo jets like Boeing 747 and airbus a320. You can choose any airport form over 26000 airports in the world of FSX. Although all the airports looks exactly identical but there are a list of over 20 airports marked as high detailed airports( the list can be found in the learning cenre of the game). Each aircraft is beautifully crafted with their cockpit almost identical to the real world ones. you can handle almost all the fuctions starting from throttle quardent to radios to autopilot etc. When you fly an aircraft the physics engine in FSX is so improved than its predicessor that it is hardly possible to feel that you are on a simulation.
THE WORLD
The world in FSX is one of the biggest areas that the game developers worked in really hard. With each flight simulator release the world gets better and better. So no doubt that the world in FSX is the best and the most realistic world yet. The developers have worked with images from satellite and google earth powered by jappeasen to create this beauty. Now a new feature in FSX is that you can zoom out from your location to see the earth in space, which is quite fun. Almost all the ladmarks and the structures are present with real world distance divide. That is if you wanna fly from boston to new york you actually have to fly 45 min to reach new york as in real life. But don't worry you can always speed up the simualtion time to skip a part of the journey. The cities look realistic too. Another big fature of FSX is the feature called living world. Now you can see vehicles moving in the roads, ship and ferries in ocean and even wildlife in parts of africa. So these things make the game much more realistic than before. Even the weather is so realictic that you can identify the type of clods, whether it is gonna rain the sunsets etc. You even have the facility for real world weather updates every 15 min.ATC chatter is still pretty much same as the previous game.
MULTIPLAYER
FSX comes packed with a new multipalyer format. Now hosts can amke their own server be the ATC or the pilot ( ATC SERVICE IS ONLY IN DELUXE EDITION) and even communicate to the pilots with a microphone and even at a certain frequency. This makes the all new multiplayer experience fun and always refreshing.
= MAKING FSX MORE REALISTIC
=FSX is the type of games that is neverending. You ahve so many new things that you never get bored with it. Here i am gonna list you some of the things that can be added to the game.
1) NEW AIRCRAT AND SCENERY : new aircrafts and scenery can be added to the game. there are a no. of aircafts to choose from and he scenery list seems endless. some website include : www.flightsim.co.nz

2)MEGASCENERY X : This is one of the addon feature that is gonna transform the ariel view radically. Go to megasceneryx.com and you can choose to download the complete photo realistic and accurate city views of las vegas, dallas, huwaii etc.
3) MY TRAFFIC X: if you get bored with the default fsx aircraft skins then download my traffic x from their website and you get all the skins of almost every airline on earth adn their real world schedules and much more.
4) FS PASSENGERS: this feature adds cockpit air hostess voices and an airline comapny manager to your world of fsx. The comapny manager is fun to deal with and is very realistic.
5) AIRNAV.COM : If you wanna be an air traffic contoller in FSX multiplayer or wanna have complete airport nformation about any airport in USA then this website hsa it all. Go see it before you join any pro multiplayer sessions.
THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS OF FSX
No game in the world seems perfect as it always has a flaw or the other. Here we have the same case. The game seriously needs framerate imporvement. With every thing set to max and traffic to full, you get frames as low as 6-7 in highly detailed cities like New York even in msot of the powerful machines inthe world. Although Microsoft has released two service packs for this problem but they show only minute improvement.Secondly the atc system even though is realistic does not support declaring emergency facilities which was expected in today's world. Thirdly You cannot start your airccraft in blackout. It always spawns with engines and all system on which is a bit dissapointing for real pilot trainees. Last but not the least you simply cannot play the game with your keyboard and you need a joystick. My pcik would be LOGITECH ATTACK 3 but you can always choose your own.
CONCLUSION
If you love flights, airport and wanna have that cockpit feeling then surely it is the game for you because ot cannot get real than this atleast in your home. Also if you are a real pilot and wanna practce plying in your spare time then this is the game for you. For real experiences you can always join BOSTON VIRTUAL ATC or ASHEVILLE ATC in multiplayer. In short flight simulator x is the best palne simulation in the market adn there is no game even close to it.
