Advantages: Decent DVD player, all necessary functions of DVD remote Disadvantages: Mine broke,Region coded, shouldn't have been required
One of the reasons I managed to talk my parents into buying me an XBox for Christmas a few years back, was the DVD Playing function of the machine, which meant I would give them my stand-alone DVD player. However, unlike the PS2, to play DVD's on the XBox, you are required to shell out an extra £20 for the privelidge, by purchasing this DVD Playback kit, which includes the RemoteControl and a sensor that plugs into a controller port on the console.
The remotecontrol is about the same size as the majority of TV/DVD/VCR remotecontrol units, at least all the ones in my house, and it is comfortable enough to hold and use. It features all the buttons you would expext, Fast-Forward,Rewind,Play,Skip Scene Forward,Skip Scene Backwards, Menu,Pause, select, directional buttons to move the cursor in DVD menu's and a number pad to jump ...
Advantages: Cost, Grpahics, Asthetics Disadvantages: No web browser, No Wireless adapter
An almost perfect console from Microsoft. The older brother of the original Xbox. There are many advantages to this console over many other consoles, namely the PS3. First of all, the 360 is cheaper than the PS3 by £80.00 It has a much wider range of games and is now backward compatible with the original Xbox games. The graphiocs in my opinion are the same, if not better than the PS3. However, the Xbox does not have a web browser which the PS3 does and also it does not have a built in wireless adapter like the PS3, also the Xbox live service cost £40a year whereas the PS3 is free. However, the Mirosoft serivce is much more reliable. The companies support service is also perfect as when my wireless controller broke i rang them up and i had a brand new one in a few days. ...
Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more. Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor
I bought my Elite for around £300 around 2 years ago from the Game store in Nottingham. It came with one game and seemed very reasonably priced compared to the premium console as it was only around £50 more and included a 120GB hard-drive!! which is massive, and would set you back atleast £60 but at the time even £120 to buy seperately. Plus at the time this was the only xbox to have HDMi for easy connection to a HD TV through one small cable.
I understand that alot of people may love the PS3, and thats ok if you can settle for an inferior console, I just want to warn any PS3 fanboys (or fangirls) you should look away now :P
There are so many great things about the xbox 360 Elite. First of all I think it is the nicest looking console ever (smaller and more colourfull lights then the PS3 :)
Apart from the classics of the Super ...
