I have had this mouse for approximately 5 years now, and not once has it given me a problem or reason to complain. I bought this mouse as a replacement for my ball mouse which i had major sensitivity problems with.
Looks: This package from Microsoft is neat and clean in appearance; the mouse is plain white plastic with silver buttons and red under light. This mouse is simple and would blend in nicely with any desktop environment.
Practicality: The IntelliMouse has proven comfortable in my experience. It is nicely curved and fits my hand easily; the buttons are easily accessible and not too sensitive, so you can move the mouse without accidentally clicking. The mouse has an approximate width of 7 cm (at it's widest point) and a length of 12.5cm.This mouse offers 5 buttons which is an ample amount for day to day use but also good for gaming too. This mouse has been plenty sensitive for my usage; it glides smoothly and is responsive enough for you not to have to move your hand much at all. In my experience, all it takes is a gentle push using my thumb or little finger to get an adequate response. I use a sheet of paper as my mouse mat which works absolutely fine - so if you don't want to spend on a mouse mat, paper is a simple and very cheap solution and in my opinion is better than a mouse mat because you don't accidentally move the mouse beyond the mat and get it stuck- this proves very frustrating during gaming usage. Moreover, whilst providing a comfortable, accurate and smooth response, the mouse can be used by both right and left handed people - The buttons are customizable to accommodate for both usages.
Overall, this mouse has performed very well in my usage. It has proven to be durable and far easier to use than a ball mouse. So if you're thinking of making the transition from a ball to laser mouse, this product is very reliable and easy to use and will easily outperform a ball mouse. This mouse is available for a mere £12.90 on amazon.co.uk. You can't go wrong with this mouse for such a low price.
