Nothing could be simpler; you literally take it out of the packaging, twist the aerial away from the main white unit and plug it to the back of the Xbox 360. The USB part then plugs in the back of the unit right next to the adapter. Go into your settings and you will need to enter your secure ID code to access the connection through the router. After an update, you should be up and running. Should take about 5 - 10 mins. (You obviously need to have a wireless router which you use for internet connection. If not you may be able to purchase one cheaply and set that up first.)
## How much does it cost? ##
My husband bough our for about £50 but I can't remember where from, that is the sort of price you are looking at spending, I'm not sure if any 3rd party company have bought one out yet, look around you may find yourself a bargain, maybe even a second hand one.

I was a bit worried at first about my husband paying that sort of money, especially as we had just had our first child, but it is money well spent, we haven't had to run wires around the house and he can still play games whilst spending time with us in the living room, rather than sending him off to the main computer. Microsoft could have priced the adapter lower, especially when you consider what other extras you would buy, including the live subscription as well. I have also found the Xbox 360 as a child friendly machine as the controller is wireless too, so we can play games without him trying to pull wires out.
Our Xbox 360 is located in the lounge downstairs and the router is upstairs in the second bedroom/office, which is located in the opposite corner of the house, I'm not sure what distance the adapter would still work at, but we have no trouble and we live in a fairly large 3 bed semi. We've had the adapter for about 10 months now and have had no trouble with the connection dropping out.
