I bought this product for my Xbox 360 to save having an Ethernet cable going downstairs to my homecomputer network. Connecting it all up and entering my WEP passphrase was extremely easy and fast. As with all of my other Microsoft products, they are robust, well built, and designed to last, so I after installing the wireless adapter I played for months without issue or incident, until one day it the wireless adapter simply stopped working correctly. It would not connect to my wireless network and the light on the back of the adapter would not light up at all.
After speaking with support staff I eventually figured out that the problem was because I started to turn my Xbox 360 off at the mains at night time rather than leaving it plugged in, (so it does not waste unnecessary electricity) and this meant that when I turned my xbox 360 back on the next day, the wireless card would not boot up properly when the xbox 360 did. So to remedy this I had to either A: Not turn my xbox 360 off by the plug at night or B: Turn on xbox 360 and wait 5 mins for it to 'warm up' and then unplug and reinsert the wireless adapter.
I would have given this adapter a poor rating but I think it could be more of an isolated incident with my particular wireless adapter, as I could not find any other examples of people having this same type of issue.
This issue aside, once everything is connected and working, it is excellent. I have noticed no difference in multiplayer game latency/ping or download speeds from xbox live marketplace compared with a wired connection.
Such is the excellent build quality of my other Microsoft products this would not put me off buying other Xbox 360 peripherals, so overall it is a satisfactory piece of kit.
