Microsoft Office 2008 Home and Student Edition (Mac)

Advantages: user-friendly, offers a range of applications
Disadvantages: might be too pricy esp. for students

...When I bought my DELL XPS, the application is already installed and thus I did not have to install them myself. But from the installation guidance given, the process of installation sees to be easy to follow and thus need no hassle. Microsoft Office Home and Student to me is very user-friendly, even to new computer user. Apart from microsoft word which we can use from writing essays to making posters, both microsoft powerpoint and microsoft excel is also useful for students. In comparison with the previous version of microsoft office home and student, this version is more modern and thus caters to the needs of students nowadays. This version of Microsoft Office, despite being a bit pricy, is worth the investment as it gives its users more; in terms of quality and usage.... Read review

Advantages: New look, good for beginners, easy to instal, more professional tools
Disadvantages: Slower then the old one, hard to find sertain things in the new menus

...going through the menus. I was amazed on how much you could do with it. The only downside of this new menu style is that some of the things i was used to lookup in the much faster menus are now devided, and some times hard to find. Other then that, i like the new way microsoft has turned with this office. Keep it up!... Read review

In fact, it makes things so much more easier for you through the use of tabs and saves you so much time!The Microsoft Office Home package consists of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & OneNote. The Microsoft Word has amazing new features which enable you to produce high quality leaflets, brochures, reports and letters. There are numerous templates which are already made for you as well which can be edited slightly to suit you. The new PowerPoint is also fantastic and enables you to produce excellent power point presentations, there are many new templates and features that are offered. Excellent product and would highly recommend this product to everyone, especially students!!... Read review
