Smart Database for entry & small level enterprise.
Advantages: Light weight, Good user interface, Low maintenance. Disadvantages: Suitable for entry & small level enterprise only.

One can build application very speedly. ...Your can choose the database formart from Access 97 format to Access 2003 format. Also, you have facility to repair database if it is corrupted.

Database objects are very handy. Setting up relations through graphical interface is a great adventage over other database of this catagory. Your can choose the database formart from Access 97 format to Access 2003 format. Also, you have facility to repair database if it is corrupted.
In my opinion, Microsoft Office Access 2003 is a Smart Database for entry & small level enterprise.

Advantages: User friendly Disadvantages: Less flexible for programming
As a hard core IT professional having workied in this field for more than 10 years i find MS access 2003 very helpful with its share of cons. Overall MS access is very user friendly but less flexibility in terms of large databases which occupies large spaces. Most the corporates use access as a bridge to move to better DB servers like SQL 2005 or Oracle 10g or higher. It offers very limited features in terms of programming flexibility compared to ... ...compromised to a large extent.
It provides use friendly features like creating inner joins etc which would take eons of time if the same is hard coded using SQL.
Overall i would recommend this product who are starting their IT careers and hope to progress gradually as they understand the concepts of DB's in more depth. ...
