Microsoft has given it's office system a complete revamp for this new Professional version of Microsoft Office 2007. For the person who is used to the images of Office 2004, 2005 etc. the new skin can take a while to get used to and seems to be a bit more 'retro' then previous skins that have been included. In this pack you get:
Access can be used to make databases and is a good starter point for either learning students, or a start-out company looking to keep a tight budget. Excel can be used to make complicated maths equations, and many other things from forming a list to working out averages for a cricket match. Groove is a new program from Microsoft that really has taken connecting to your work mates to a new level, with a mix of MSN type messenging mixed with being in the workplace, all from home. You can connect to any of your workmates anywhere in the world and instantly send them, for example, a change to the advertising slogan. The person who receives the change can either accept the changes or change it even more or back if they want to. InfoPath is a program that you can use to produce things like a travel report or a form for your driving licence, for example. OneNote is a simple program mainly that is used for creating notes for anything you want really, or to create a diary type notebook. Outlook is a system that you can link to your emails without having to go to your email webpage, and do everything from reply to the email to completely deleting it. Powerpoint can be used to, well, make powerpoints. Moving images across the screen that has now been revamped to give you even more control over what you are doing. Publisher can be used to create many things, like leaflets and webpages, to origami. This years has now got even more items you can make. Word if the same as normal, but seems to have been made even easier with huge sub-headings to categorize each section. This years Office seems to have been really simple to use compared to normal, while still improving the programs on there. I have found it really useful and now know how to do things i had not known was possible before, the new programs make things a lot easier aswell, especially for the businessman with the introduction of Groove. I believe this would be useful for people of most ages due to it's complex systems, but easy ways for the user to access and use them. Some users won't like the new skin though, and after a while it can be a little sore on the eye's. It does come at quite a hefty price though and due to the price it would mainly be used, i feel, by students and businessmen.
