I first heard of these exams about 7 years ago when I working as a secretary for a firm of accountants. They had an in house training centre and were very "hot" on training, so when these exams came up I jumped at the chance.

If you just want to take core or expert subjects then you can. They are set questions on a computer covering all aspects of using Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and Access, such as formatting, inserting paragraphs, numbering, footnotes etc.

They are a very worthwile certification to have. Courses in London start from £200.00, I know its a bit pricey but if you can get your company to pay your fees its worthwhile to them as you gain extra training.
