Microsoft Word 2007 from my experience is very easy to use, it has everything that I would expect a word processing software program to have, i.e. spell check, formatting options for bold, italic, underline, various bullet point options and an easy way to save files using common Microsoft platform technology. It has a very useful help wizard, the office assistant which is common to all Microsoft Office programs. Just go to the help menu and select show office assistant and type in your keyword, and it comes up with a list of useful links to help with the topic, and the links are quite clear and easy to follow. There are quite a few sophisticated features for users who need to do macros or mail merges with other Microsoft applications such as Excel spreadsheets or Access databases. One particularly useful function is email merge, if you wish to send the contents of any word document to a list of email addresses stored on either Excel, Access or Word. Because it is a Microsoft application you will find plenty of online help and useful blogs.
