I bought my headset recently from ebay. I was looking forward to getting it because i haven't been able to speak to anyone on xbox live for ages. Since my days of Halo 2 on the original Xbox.
I knew that the old headsets were crap, flimsy, uncomfortable and generally, just bad and plasticky. So i was looking forward to a change with the new wireless headset for the 360.
Everything that i was looking forward to just didn't happen. The new headsets are still crap, flimsy, uncomfortable and still plasticky - although not so much now. And they do look more stylish than the older xbox version. They look and feel similar to bluetooth headsets that have emerged recently.
As for the fact that it is no more comfortable, if anything it is less comfortable. I hate wearing it, it just flops off my ear, makes it really hot, itch and make my whole gaming experience uncomfortable. Plus its a distraction, just dangling on the side of my cheek. Its annoying! There is just some rubbery thing that is supposed to support it firmly onto your ear and sit on the side of your face. It just simply doesn't work. Even in the massive advancement of the gaming world i think that xbox have left the headset behind in the stone-age. They seriously need to do something about it. The simplest things would make the biggest differences.
However, i must say that the volume levels are good on the headset, and it is easy to turn up and down if you want to. You can link it to your system easily aswell and because there are no wires it doesn't get in the way. That itself is a major improvement from the older headsets. But although these aspects are very good and should not be forgotten, they are completely pushed out by the poor aspects of the headset.
I probably wouldn't recommend this to gamers if you can live without it. If you really want it just to talk to people online and trash talk all the other users then try and look for other reviews of other headsets before just buying this one. At a price of £34.99 generally it is very expensive for what it is. Thats why i looked through ebay and got mine for a total of £22.50. This is probably a better way to do it and there are quite a lot of items on there.Other than that it is available in many game stores such as Game, HMV, Blockbusters among others.

I found this very helpful as your comments show its poor in design & a few problems that I can so easily imagine happening. This, for me, makes it a very helpful review and I know to avoid it until it improves.
