My name is James Egginton and I am a 22 year old conference producer based in London. In my spare time I enjoy watching DVDs and playing on the Xbox 360 as well as meeting up in the pub for a catch up with some friends

This wheel comes extremely well packaged and may take you a few mintues to actually get into it but atleast this lends assurance that it will transport well when it was shipped.
The packages comes in 3 separate parts: >Wheel >Pedals >Table attachement
WHEEL: The wheel itself is covered in a highly durable rubber covering making it very easy to keep a grip on it, which is an important feature if like me yours hands can sweat in the middle of an intense race. The wheel also has all the buttons you would find on a normal controller and they are all intuitively placed. The X,Y, A,B buttons are placed in easy reach of the thumb so when driving they are easy reachablt. The trigger buttons are also present as large levers placed directly behind the wheel so as you can easily use them but with enough room between them and the wheel as to be able to fit your hand easily between them. In the cnetre of the wheel you will find the Xbox button and the ring of light that will bring up the dashboard in the same way the controller would. The wheel also has a chromo effect bottom to the wheel and makes it very appealing to look at and adds to its durable feel. There is also an access port for the headsets for Xbox live gaming allowing the headset to be used without the wire trailing over a large distance. The wheel itself runs off batteries (either battery pack or rechargeable) and also comes with an AC/DC pack. A lap rest is also incorporated into the wheel and it actually does fit relatively comfortably in most people lap and is easy to use when driving.
TABLE ATTACHEMENT: The wheel unit can be attached to a table if you prefer rather than having it on your lap. It is made entirely of plastic but does feel well made. It attaches to the wheel unit via a clip mechanism and so does hold it very securley in place. The attachement has rubber pads to prevfent marking on a table, but I still would not recommend using it on a best table. It secures on the table with a large pastic screw mechanism and will ensure the unit is not going to slip.
PEDALS: The pedal unit is fairly light and initially makes you think its not well made and a cheap part of the whole unit. However the pedals themeselve are very well designed with a strong spring mechanism to give you the real sense of using pedals in a car and the accelerator ahs a aluminium finish, giving it a nice overall look. The surrounding plastic of the base is what makes it look cheap, I think this is more because it is just in a white colour and not because it is cheap. The pedals attach to the wheel with a cable, which is supplied but is long enough to enable you to seperate the two well and you can even purchase your own longer cable if you really want a lot of room, which is probably unlikely.
Overall this is a good unit. It comes with a copy of PGR3 along with the drivers to update your 360 to be able to use this wheel. It is appropriately priced and I personally feel good value for money as this unit does not need to be attached to the 360 as it is wireless. It does have a slight "cheap" look to it due to the use of white plastic but atleast it means it fully matches up with the 360 itself. The most important thing is it has excellent response in gameplay which is what you want the wheel for.
