MS Xbox Elite review

Advantages: quality product, easy to setup, lots of fun.
Disadvantages: cant think of any yet, besides game choice for women!

Quite possibly the best purchase I've done this year. I'm pretty new to the Xbox world, and got this as all my mates at work would rave on about it all the time, so I dived in and used up all my savings and got one. Games can be quite pricey, but I've found that buying them off friendly auction sites, can save a hell of a lot of money. Setting up was a doddle, I'm pretty good with computers/electrical stuff, but I'm quite sure anyone could manage it with or without the instructions. I had a few problems with Xbox live, but that was just myself, as I'd already registered online at their website and used my email address with a different gamertag to the one when I originally setup my Xbox, but Xbox sorted this out for me after a phone call to their UK support centre (numbers on their website). Since I've had the Xbox I've brought ...

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - The User's Review

Advantages: Brilliant graphics, HDMI Output, Excellent Games Library, Xbox Live
Disadvantages: Expensive Games, Xbox Live Fee, Lack of Blu-Ray, Hardware Errors

After hearing how good Microsoft's next-gen gaming console was, I decided to invest. And what a good choice that was. I purchased an Xbox 360 Elite last year and how glad I am that I did. Pro's: - Powerful graphic engine - Brilliant display at 1080p Full-HD (HDMI) - Brilliant line-up of games - Excellent online (Xbox Live) system Con's: - Games pricey at £40-50 each* - Xbox Live Subscription at £40 per year** - Lack of a Blu-Ray drive unlike its competitor, Sony PlayStation 3*** - Prone to crashes and hardware errors**** *New games are hard to find at prices lower than £40, which is a lot of money on top of what you pay for the console itself **Xbox Live is a very good service offering a full friends messaging system and a wide range of services such as Game Demo's and Arcade games but considering the Nintendo Wii ...

Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite

Review of Microsoft's XBOX 360

Advantages: Loads of great games, good value, great online play.
Disadvantages: Changing the batteries in the controller!

Released in 2005, Microsoft's console the XBOX 360 is, in my opinion, still as fresh and innovative as when it was first released. The graphics are second to none, and the selection of games on offer for it is wide and varied, including some of the best first-person shooting games on any console. There is very little in the way of loading times, and I really got to grips with the controller easily. I also really like the home screen and xbox live, both of which I found to be user-friendly and functional. Incidentally, I think that the online play is a huge selling point, as it's something I had no difficulties in getting up and running (after the additional small cost of joining the xbox live service) and I could instantly find and join games using the menu system. In my opinion this is has to be the best console around, even now. ...
