I would like to start things off by saying that this review is completely unbiased and is written by a Microsoft and Macintosh fanatic. The zune is a new era of digital media players that is now considered the basics of digital entertainment and music streaming. The Microsoft is a very interesting peace of art developed by Microsoft.
First of all, I would like to say that Microsoft did a good or decent job developing this music player. The 30gb zune has many features, which also include a limited internet browsing option that only connect to Microsoft zune's marketplace. The zune is just like other players except that it has a long battery life, up to 24-hours. The cool feature about this product is the wireless syncing. With the correct configurations you can sync your zune wirelessly as long as you are logged into your zune software. The zune software works just like itunes, were people can meet others share their music and subscribe to podcasts. Of course you can buy albums and music. The cool thing about this software is if you have an album with wrong file names or numbered files such as "1_song_name_by_artists" from where ever you download this file, the zune will automatically match your song with the original and will correct it. The most annoying thing about this software is that it does not play all sorts of formats and files. If that does not sound bad, then this will: If you are trying to manually sync a movie and it is with the wrong format, then you might have to wait 2-5 hours until your zune software converts it. Yes it's that bad, but no fear! There is hundreds of software that allows you to convert this file faster and for free. Back to the zune, this music player appealed me in 3 ways. 1) it has a cool built-in device that works just like a Bluetooth. If you are really eager to share a song with one of your friends that have a zune with them, you may send that song to them through this option, as long as they have a zune and not an ipod or anything else. 2) The other cool thing about this zune is that it has a radio! if you are annoyed of playing your music over and over and over again, than you can tune in to your favorite station. 3) Games! Not a big deal for most people, but its great on the bus!
