Then taking the reader though a run down of the langauge, later on it covers a number of topics like working with window applications, managing data and building web applications.

Included with the book is a copy of visual studio standard with # enabled also a collection of msdn articals and the example chapters on cd. Personally I found the initial chapters of the book at two low a level and the end chapters to be very taxing.
Included with the book is a copy of visual studio standard with # enabled also a collection of msdn articals and the example chapters on cd. I think the inclusion of all the software alone makes it a worthwhile purchase hey it might be a slightly older versoin however visual studio .net is an excellent development enviroment and unless you are a power use you are unlickly to miss the bell and whistles of the new version.
Overall a worthwhile purchase if only for the examples and visual studio the book itself is not the greatest guide the individual examples are great but I somehow came away with the feeling the examples didnt overlap enough. However C# is a complex job and the authers have done a good job in examining a lot of its facets.
