I bought this book for £20.29 from Amazon it was reduced thanks to the fact the new version of Visual Studio is out.
The book is split into several sections first taking you through from the classic hello world example writing a very basic program. Then taking the reader though a run down of the langauge, later on it covers a number of topics like working with windowapplications, managing data and building web applications.
Personally I found the initial chapters of the book at two low a level and the end chapters to be very taxing.
Included with the book is a copy of visual studio standard with # enabled also a collection of msdn articals and the example chapters on cd. I think the inclusion of all the software alone makes it a worthwhile purchase hey it might be a slightly older versoin however visual studio .net is an excellent development enviroment and unless you are a power use you are unlickly to miss the bell and whistles of the new version.
Overall a worthwhile purchase if only for the examples and visual studio the book itself is not the greatest guide the individual examples are great but I somehow came away with the feeling the examples didnt overlap enough. However C# is a complex job and the authers have done a good job in examining a lot of its facets.
