...The sidewinder is comfortable. Very comfortable. It is especially good for playing games such as Flight Simulator. I think that there is a model with force-feedback, but the one I had didn't have that.
Responsiveness: 9/10
It's very responsive, even the slightest movement is detected, its like having power steering for your joystick!
Installation: 10/10
I just plugged it in the USB port and away it went, very easy to install especially on windows xp.
Pricing: 4/10
This was the most expensive model the shop I was in had at the time, as I play games reguarly I decided to buy it anyway. If you can get it for less than $50.00 US then it's a bargain.
Overall: 7/10
If you want the best, you have to pay for it. Sidewinder is good, and it is very easy to use, however it is also very costly....

I had just got Microsoft’s Combat Flight Simulator 2 and wanted a joystick to control my aircraft with. I early hurried down to our local computer store where they had every joystick on display. After going up and down the isle about 4 times trying each one out I finally settled on the MicrosoftSideWinder Precession 2.
This joystick not only looks the part but feels the part too. With a USB connection it couldn’t be easier to install, simply un-box, install the software and plug the joystick in. The computer doesn’t even have to be off when you plug it in.
The SideWinder Precession 2 has many great features such as the throttle control lever. Unlike conventional joysticks, the SideWinder also twists left and right giving you full rudder control for maximum control.

...The Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro is simpley the best joystick that I have ever used. There is the main stick in the middle that has 5 buttons that control different things 1 that controls shotting,3 for different views and 1 to change weapons. On the base of the joystick there are another 6 buttons. 4 which can have any job that you want assigned to them, 1 for the throttle of any vehicle and 1 that I dont have a clue what it does.
The joystick is a dream to use, it has a quick on-screen response time. Unlike some other joysticks that are a bit sluggish.
With the joystick software there is a manuel that comes with it and this is a online manuel that is in your tool bar. It is very imformative and it can answer a whole variety of questions.
I bought that joy stick for around £30 and i thought that it was a great deal...
