I purchased this wireless mouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money. This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly. Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type ...

A great mouse from Microsoft

Advantages: Tracks perfectly and accurately, wireless freedom
Disadvantages: Included documentation is poor

UPDATE: ~~~~~~~~ After trying to charge the mouse for the second time, the mouse would stop charging after 3-5 minutes. What would happen was the green charging light would flash for 3-5 minutes and then this would change to red and flash. On looking on the internet I read many posts on this problem, so it would appear I'm not alone. I am in the process of returning the faulty mouse and am getting a Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. This mouse takes normally non rechargeable batteries which apparently last 6 months, so hopefully I should not have any such problems with this mouse. This was my first Microsoft mouse as I normally purchase Logitech, but with having a bad experience with the Logitech MX Revolution I decided to give Microsoft a try, and I wasn't disappointed. The Microsoft Wheel Mouse is basic, affordable and simple

Advantages: Cheap and easy to set up
Disadvantages: Basic functionality

This mouse is for the basic user. If you are a gamer move along from this mouse now. However, if you just require a mouse to do what it says on the tin, that is move your cursor around your PC screen then this is ideal. Cheap without a likelihood of falling apart if you drop it. Well made and constructed. The design is optimum for fitting most peoples hands.Its response to your hand movements is smooth and it has a light feel to it which means accuracy is easy to get with small movements. The set up couldn't be easier with the plug and play design. Your PC if its XP or later will more than likely detect it automatically and after you plug it in and you boot up youre ready to go.
