Windows Vista Layout: The layout of Windows Vista is very sleek but it is quite complicated to get used to at first! The desktop layout can be changed to a variety of colours to make it more personal to the user, and I think that this is a good adaptation to other Windows programmes. On the main desktop, you can choose to have features such as an anologe clock, the date in bold, and the temoerature in your area, all of these features can be disabled if you do not want to use them.
Windows Vista Programmes: The programmes that come with Windows Vista are 'Voice Recognition', a variety of games, Windows Calender, amongst otheres.
The Voice recognition programme lets you speak to the computer instead of having to type and click on what you want to do! The downside is that you have to go through a long winded tortourial, and then to make the voice recognition more clear and accurate you need to 'train' the computer to the sound of your voice.
The games include 'Solitaire' and 'Purble Place'. Both of these games include beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, so if you complete the gameseasily you won't get bored becasue you will al ways be challenged.
The Windows Calender is very useful, you can enter information for important dates, and print out a copy for yourself too.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP1, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP1a - for PC - English - Quantity: 1, 3 - 1 user - CD-ROM
(+) Faster, good networking with other Windows machine, so far it has not crashed. (-) price, best to do a fresh install which will involve backup & restore of information
An interesting and concise review. I've not come across the voice recognition utility with Vista before - then again, I've not really dug deep to check the capabilities of Vista since purchasing my laptop - I've just been happy to cruise along and utilise the basic features of the laptop. Rich

Advantages: If you have the hardware, the speed will be amazing. Disadvantages: If your not using a 64bit system. Only thing you will see different is the design.
