So first things first let's look at the recommended specifications described by Microsoft ... ...well and is a brilliant Microsoft product. The first line of defence is obviously Windows Firewall and an Antivirus of your choice. I personally use NOD32 as my antivirus as it uses very little resources but is an excellent anti-virus. Don't go down the commercial route with McAfee or Norton! The built in Firewall is a large improvement on Windows XP Service Pack 2 firewall; it secures both way connections instead of one-way.

...company in the world.
Microsoft say that they are hoping for Windows Vista to be installed on 100 million computers by the end of 2007, but the people that I have discussed Windows VIsta with, all say the same thing, they'll buy it when SP1 (codenamed, Windows Figi) is released, this will get rid of all the bugs in the system, of which there are a lot.

Microsoft keep pointing out that Windows Vista is more productive enabling you to carry out tasks quicker and more effectively, with features like desktop search and start search. You can now launch any application or file on your computer by simply typing in the title of the file in the start menu. As you type, search results will start appearing as soon as the file you want to open is at the top of the list, simple press ...

...good and bad reviews from Microsoft new operating system, Windows Vista (or more precisely, built 5728), beta versions, and decided to spice my live, and my PC
Now, for the less knowledge, this is not the final retail version (or one of the gazillion ones that will be available, if you believe the doom tellers on Internet forums), it's only a public Beta version (of many available) for download from Microsoft Website

I started by going to the ... ...looking interface
In task manager, Microsoft has divided the processes from you the user, and services on 2 different tabs. A nice touch, and very handy at that also
Playing games is still touch and go. They will install, but in my case, both visual anomalies and slowdowns are frequent. It's a Beta OS so nothing new there
The option of switching between windows it's the coolest one so far. You press this option, and all windows show up in cascade. ...

Advantages: Very quick, HUGE interface update, looks good Disadvantages: Lack of compatability with old hardware and software
...to say I am impressed, Microsoft have put ALOT of effort into the software and it shows.
The first thing you notice when you start your journey with Vista is the ease of installation, its a few button clicks and in as little as 20 minutes on some machines you are at the windows desktop ready to start playing, with the vast majority of your peripherals working, of course the more IT literate will go straight to the manufactures websites to try and ... ...as a program aswell, replacing microsoft Activesync for those users with a PDA or Windows Mobile powered phone.
One of Microsoft's big trump cards has been their focus of security in Vista, with the operating system locked down as much as physically possible, a new feature called User Account Control tells you if a program tries to do anything above a certain level with your computer and you have to authorise the action, stopping most spy ware in ...

...based on Windows Vista Ultimate. Microsoft has not released a features-comparison table that shows what's offered (or not offered) in the various Vista SKUs. It's going to take people like me a while to install all those flavors and figure out what's different. Morevoer, even if we had the comparison data right now, there's every possibility that it could change in the final versions of Vista.
What does "nearly feature complete" mean, and is this ... ...primary functionalities in place that Microsoft currently intends to ship in at least one of the final versions of Vista. But that doesn't mean all the features and functionalities will look, act, or perform the way they do in build 5308. Very likely aspects will be added or trimmed, and hopefully, they will run better too.
You can also stack (or roll up hierarchically) virtual folders by one additional criterion, such as Kinds, Authors, Keywords, ...

Advantages: Norton Internet Security 2008 offers solid protection for your desktop Disadvantages: The way that it slows your PC down to a snails pace
...While Symantec's protection is set in stone, the average users experience within Norton Internet Security 2008 could be greatly improved. Not all the features work together, and the program could use fewer system resources. And paying to call support is not really playing fair on their part, as the software is not free in the first place.
