Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition (XP)
I got XP in the year 2002, I bought it to upgrade my old dell to this new operating system. The dell had Windows ME on it. I had the computer for two years and I never had the Internet ether, and I never got the internet untill 2006. When I bought the operating system I bought it in a computer shop in Lisburn called PC world. It wasn't too badly priced. It was only £100.00! Which wasn't too bad back then for an operating system.
How did the Installation run... It installed very quick and easy to be honest. I just put it into my computer and then it brought up the installation and all you had to do is hit buttons that the screen told you to hit e.g. Hit F8 to continue etc. My eight year old nephew could do it!
The Box... On the front of the box there is two logos "Microsoft" and "Microsoft Windows XP Professional". There is also the Start bar and the Microsoft logo above the Windows XP. On the back of the box there is information on Windows XP Professional Edition, including pictures, tables and bullet points. On the bottom of the box there is a logo "experience". Inside the box there is four booklets. Booklet one is blue and its the booklet that shows you the information on XP. Booklet two is orange and it had the Installation disc inside it, pictures of Windows XP and the Product key. Booklet three is the limited warranty and limited express warranty booklet and it is white and has eleven languages telling you the warranties of Windows XP. Booklet four is the last booklet and it is blue and it tells you more information on Windows XP e.g. Install Windows XP, Troubleshoot Windows XP. So Booklet four is more of an Information and Instruction booklet.
Some feautres of Windows XP... Can surf the internet easily and quickly (quickly depending on your internet company). Can run multible windows, Windows Media Player, Remote desktop, Windows movie maker, Can paint pictures with Paint and many more features.
Overal... Overal windows XP is the best operating system out from Microsoft. I would say it is better than Windows Vista. To run windows XP look out for the sticker on the front of your computer it will say Windows XP Compatiable or Designed for Windows XP. Make sure you have a big hard drive so that you can save all your documents, movies, pictures and music. Windows XP can now run on a Mac via Boot Camp. But i would recommend anyone who is using any computer to put Windows Xp Professional Edition on to it as it is the best operating system I have ever used!
