Brilliant mouse if you want one
Advantages No annoying wires, Remote control style, customizable buttons
Disadvantages expensive, high battery consumption
Microsoft it has to be said produce some rather expensive items. This is one such item, for which I paid £60, but I don't regret it one bit, ever. The mouse is plug and play compatible with the software it comes with so all you have to do is install the software and away you go.
The sleek design has many buttons which can be customized. The buttons can operate different functions depending on what programs that they are being used on, and the mouse will work upto 10-15ft away from the reciever. The reciever is on a USB port plug in which makes it easy to use.The battery monitor on the software is extremely useful especially considering that a set of batteries will only last about 1 month. It tells you whether the battery is close to running out or not and reminds you when it is time to replace them. This can be annoying when it interrupts your computer gaming but other than this and the price it is a very useful peripheral I would recommend for any serious computer user, as well as a pack of rechargable batteries, they will save you an absolute fortune over the lifetime of the wireless infra red mouse.

I'm on the look out for a wireless mouse at the moment, so I'll have a look at this one. Rosie.
