I have been using Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000 for a little over a month now and so far it has proved to be the perfect companion for my netbook computer. The mouse comes with a wireless dongle as well as a single triple A battery. The mouse also has a place under the battery cover where the wireless USB dongle can be stored, thus making it harder to loose when you are carrying the mouse around.

Responsiveness- The mouse is very responsive on many surfaces (even on the carpet!) and has a dpi of 1000, so should be suitable for everyday general use.

Robustness & durability- The mouse has a fairly solid feel to it and has and ideal weight for its size. It also feels as if it could take quite a bit of rough and tumble and doesn't feel like it would break very easily.

Look and feel- As with many Microsoft mice that I have owned, this mouse has a solid yet simple design. Most of the mouse is matt black, however the sides of the mouse has a piano black finish to it which tends to be a finger print magnet!

Ease of use- So far I have found the Microsoft Mouse to be very easy to use, I simply just place the wireless dongle into to a spare USB port and it will usually work straight away. I have tested the mouse with both my Windows 7 desktop and my Ubuntu Linux netbook with no problems at all.

Value for money- at around £10 this mouse is excellent value for money when you consider the solid build quality and decent dpi.

Overall, this is a great mouse for the money. The build quality and design of the mouse, as with most Microsoft mice I have owned is excellent. The only downside, is that the mouse is a bit small for my hand making it harder to use than a larger mouse (This may not be a problem for some people, as I have fairly large hands).
This Microsoft mouse would make an ideal companion for a small Laptop or Netbook but possibly not for a desktop computer, due to it's small size.
