I purchased this wirelessmouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money.
This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly.
Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type ...

For a super special birthday gift my parents decided not to get me a new computer, or even a shiny new laptop. No, they decided to get me a keyboard and mouse set. Great you might say. Not so if you don't have a computer, however fortunately I do so it wasn't a disapointment when I opened the box.
At first I thought 'thanks.....' but when I read the box I got really excited.
In the package you get, all wrapped up in clear plastic and white packing foam, one very posh looking black Microsoftwirelessopticaldesktop elite keyboard , and one opticalwirelessmouse to go with it. The mouse features a scrolling tool which is fantastic as allows me to scan down pages on the web super fast - and is a neat feature my previous plug in mouse lacked.

As far as installation and compatibility goes the desk set was easy to set up and configured with Windows Vista very easily. The ergonomic layout of the keyboard is plesant and with the usefull quick access buttons its an all round winner although its on the large size and would not suit people with limited space the overall package is excellent value and compares well in price to other wireless packages. The mouse is nice and responsive and certainly one of the better opticalmice on the market and you dont find yourself loseing it in various parts of the screen. The keyboard is nice to type on and nice bouncy keys at the right height, treat yourself while its still on the shelves. ...
