I bought this keyboard and mouse bundle from comet a few months ago for just under £30! I now here it is much cheaper, but personally it was well worth the money.
Let's start with the obvious many people fear of wireless anything is that it isn't as quick and responsive as wired components and that it can be interfered with. Well I will let you know now that this keyboard may as well be wired as it is no different than the one I threw in the bin the day I got this home! It never misses a letter number or an advanced key! The mouse is great and optical so will work on any surface. I find it sufficient to play games with, especially since there is no trailing wire to get caught on the monitor etc. So in this field the combo is great, in fact as if it is wired but the freedom of wireless!
Next we come to reliability I guess in this case we are on about battery life. Well what can be said 3 month of hardcore use and she keeps on going with out a hitch, this is due to Microsoft's low battery consumption that they are well known for.
The combo are very well put together the keys make a nice sound not like a click or a silent slow pushing annoying slide, just right I would say. The keyboard is spill proof for those little accidents with coke, its happened to us all. The mouse is extremely well made fits the hand perfectly and is smooth and comfy to use.
From unpacking the items to having them working, is a 5 min process at the max! The instructions are great tell you step by step what to do and aren't to long winded. The software provided makes all the non-standard keys adjustable and changeable to functions of your choice. You get one program for the mouse and one for the keyboard.
The extra keys are great, they take you straight to different folders in my documents, change your media player track, and even open MSN messenger. A godsend for the lazy modern day man!
Great accessory for any computer system, and will make using you PC at least 25% easier and even more enjoyable.

The Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 is a very good example of simplicity. No complicated buttons on the keyboard, a mouse without a mass of buttons where every button goes. Just the simple, basics.
The combination works very well, the keyboard is nice to use. Very easy to use for a long period of time too. The mouse is no different, very responsive and easy to use. Just a left click, right click and a scroll ball. Nothing ... ...is very good on batteries and you won't find yourself having to by a million batteries all the time.
The set is very asthetically pleasing in black, it won't stand out in your home or workplace.
This combination is a very cost efficient desktop to have. Very easy to use too.
Definatly recommended!

This set came bundled with a new PC; i could not have asked for better. I plugged it in and it worked brilliantly. Once i installed the disc that comes with it, certain useful fuctions appear; instead of having a light indicating that num lock was on, an on sreen icon would show. This is much more useful if you press is by accident as you are alerted immediatly.
It works to a range of three metres, which i consider far enough for my use. The mouse ... ...have been using the same batteries in both the keyboard and mouse for over 3 months and they are still going (they are used for over 3 hours a day).
The keyboard has a matt finish which makes it very easy to type on, and the large space bar accomodates all different types of typers. The buttons at the top (My Pictures, My Documents) are, for me, slightly unnecessary, but do use the Windows Media Player controls often. Battery life is also flawless ...

Both the mouse and the Keyboard use two batteries and it would be perfectly if you could use Alaklines because they last longer and are the best quality batteries . The keyboard and mouse come with an infrared reciver specially made for them . The rate is 0 ( the rate is the time between you press a button on the keyboard and it appears on screen ) . It doesn't eat ... ...play a lot ) . The buttons from the keyboard don't fall , they have a regular shape that fits the finger . On the keyboard you also find buttons to control music( volume , next track , last track , stop , play , pause , mute ) , to open your e-mail , to start your internet browser , to start yout messenger , to Open My documents , My music , My Pictures and other media folder. It also has buttons for working in Office ( undo , redo , new, open , ...

...wireless keyboard and mouse from Microsoft makes working and gaming at your computer so much easier.
It is ok to install, but I had a few problems that I was able to solve myself. Once it is installed both the keyboard and mouse have a long range away from the transmitter that you connect to USB.
However, quite a bit you will get some annoying messages and pop-ups saying that the signal is low or battery is low, sometimes these warnings aren't ... ...it is easy to re sync just by pressing two buttons.
The set is not very expensive so in my opinion it is very good value for money. It also comes with some software that you need to install. It can be difficult to get installed, but it doesn't use much computer resources so will not slow down your PC. ...

This set of keyboard and mouse is amazing.. I am in love with the mouse. Its stable and even good for playing games.. Its quick and responsive.. But the only problem being the batteries which is obviously depending upon your use, but the it eats up battery.. But with its other good points, the battery can be neglected..
