The sleeker newer shinier console. 4 of 4 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Slimmer but not by much, sleeker, glossy, ....

Disadvantages Not as such but the Slim console is not actually that much slimmer than the predecessor.

Please bear in mind this review is for a 250GB console. The 4GB console is more suited to players not wanting to use it for downloading and saving games to the hard drive whereas a 250GB allows you to do this more freely.

XBOX 360 Slim

I have to start this off by saying that however much more sleek and nicer this is than the original XBOX 360 it is not that much slimmer!

We have owned an XBOX Slim for roughly seven months now and it has been a really good experience. My son had an XBOX 360 previous to this one and when it broke after three maybe four years I bought him this for his birthday.
He was chuffed to bits with it as he also had Kinect with it. We were going to buy him Kinect for his Birthday anyway so this seemed a better deal!

The console has the Kinect software already installed on the system so it was pretty much plug and play! My hubby set it up and my son was chuffed.

The console is a lot quiter than the previous one and the buttons are very sensitive meaning a little touch is all that is needed for the tray to glide open.

The XBOX Slim has built in WiFi so if you have wireless internet you can connect up to the net without the need for a load of wires everywhere, which is a massive bonus for me as I hate wires traipsing everywhere!!
If you've no got wireless internet don't worry as there is still a port on the back of the console for you to plug your cable into.

With a large 250GB hard drive my son thought it was excellent as it meant he could download and save loads of games to it.... Not as though he hasn't got enough all ready!

The console has 5 USB ports, three on the back and two on the front, this allows you to plug more stuff in, I know he has the Kinect plugged in but I don't know what else!

Aswell as this my son also has a PS3 and although he prefers playing the PS3 this console does look so much nicer on the shelf, it's glossy back casing is very sleek and the slightly curved hape makes it very appealing to look at.

I think I paid in the region of £180 for this console and Kinect and it was an incredible deal as Kinect alone can cost in the region of £120.

My husband uses this console also and I play Sims 3 on it now and again.

There's a huge range of games avialble for the Xbox 360 and some games are exclusive to this as some are for the PS3.
