MICROSOFT XBOX 360 120GB HARD DRIVE I have been through so many Xbox 360 consoles which have had numerous hard drives. The first being the 20GB hard drive which is okay for gamers who don't have many games or for gamers who don't have access to Xbox Live. We have a Microsoft Xbox 360 at home set up on the main TV, and the kids regularly use it to play their various games etc. But one of the problems we found was that as they downloaded the latest freebies and demos through Xbox live, the basic drive on the box quickly filled up to capacity, and then they would get into the debate of what to delete, what to keep etc. So to ease the problem, I decided to buy an extra hard drive for the device to give them that extra bit of breathing space to store all of the games and downloads. Many people say you need one of these to connect to Xbnox live - now this is simply not true, but unless you have a hardrive you will be missing out on some great xbox live features! You wont be able to fit many demos,movies or songs on your little 64mb memory card. So sooner or later everyone decides to upgrade. Now this is the biggest hard drive at 120gb, not everyone will need this much space. These hard drives also come in 20gb and 60gb, but if your a geek like me you will want the 120GB! The reason we bought the X box 360 hard drive was because I keep buying arcade games and downloading freebies which soon fills up, we also have most our games run loaded straight onto the console to keep the discs free from scratching. It also seems to make our games load quicker and quieter. Price and availability We bought the Xbox 360 120GB expansion pack from Amazon.co.uk and paid £49.99. Having received an XBox 360 Arcade as a gift, it was inevitable that I would require a hard drive fairly soon. I bought this one from a seller on Amazon for about £50 and I am definitely pleased with my purchase. I'd say 120 GB is the right amount of memory that you'll need for your 360, especially if you want to upload music, pictures etc as well as save games on it as I have. Anything lower (I believe the next lowest down is the 60 GB, which isn't enough) just wouldn't be sufficient.
