I had wanted to get a XBOX for a while now and the only thing putting me off was the controller which came with it (I used to play it when they had them setup in game shops and the pads were HUGE!!) so I decided to leave it as my hands wern't designed to fit them into my hands, but as so many ... IN THE PACK
When you get the vacuum packed pad home it should have
1X XBOX S controller
1X Detachable inline release cable
1X instruction book
USE
Like all official Xbox Pads it features the inline release on the wire, this is basically to protect the XBOX itself and ... ...itself or somebody (it isn’t the lightest thing in the world)
So if the wire get pulled on with a strong force it will detach here instead on have it ripped out of the main port, this also prevents damage happening to the controller ports.

WHATS THE DIFFRENCE?
You may be wondering what’s the difference, nothing apart from the size and layout of the buttons, on the original pad the white and black buttons were above the four main colour buttons, now they are underneath so they are also easier to access, the start and back button used to be in the bottom centre of the pad now are located under the left analogue stick and the last difference is the grips on the analogue sticks are better and have a bit more space than the original, and the logo in the middle is now smaller and made from a rubber type material, The buttons all have sensitivity apart from the start and back button so it will be the harder you press the faster you will go or harder you will punch etc. the best thing is it fits nicely into your hands. This pad is now the standard pad to be bundled with the console and the old pads are discontinued.
LOOKS AND DURIBILITY
Even thought the original control pad was HUGE you had to give it the award of being durable and this one is no exception, it has been thrown on the floor many times and has not had a problem so you know you can give it to a young child and not worry, it also looks nice as well compared to the original.
Advantages: Smaller Size, Buttons Repositioned, New Colour Designs Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive, Smaller Size is only a Preference
...round such a beast. Thus Microsoft decided to release a smaller controller which was more user friendly for everybody called the Xbox Controller S (S standing for small). Of course this included in particular the Japanese, children and even some women here and there.
I luckily enough bought my Xbox just as this baby was released as i also struggled to use the large controller and I have quite biggish hands. I can easily reach the two trigger buttons ... ...made by N64 with their Z trigger button). The two buttons which were Black and White have been put under the 4 main buttons for great accessibility so you can press them at a quicker pace for a faster reaction time.
Overall this Controller is a well built piece of hardware and anyone who is aware of the annoyances of the large Xbox controller should not struggle with it anymore. This controller will make your gaming sessions all the more enjoyable ...

Advantages: Strong, well built, reliable, better than first Xbox controller, built in gadget to separate it from console in a slip-up. Disadvantages: Too big for average hand size, heavy, impractical for RPG's
If the gamecube's controller is a anorexic, purple oddity, then this is the king size man one! While hugely smaller than the awful first gen controller which was the size-of-a-baby's-head and looked like a big black whale, the Controller S still suffers from a slight weight problem. The main problem is that it is rather flawed. The sixties/seventies style, seemingly unergonomic PS1 controller was so good, way better than it should of been. Buttons ... ...were where they should of been. It was such a good design they used it, as old fashioned as it was, for the next generation. The controller S, however, is bigger than it has too be. Did anyone ever complain that the PS controller was too big / small,
no, because it fitted everyone. I did get used to it eventually, and to really like it, but not enough thought has been put into it.
What about small hands? are the two triggers very good for anything ...

Advantages: Smaller Pad Disadvantages: Pricey For A Pad
The Controller S is Microsoft’s smaller version of the normal big and bulky xbox controller that comes with the console which most people I know can't get their hands around. This pad is much better for gaming as well because the buttons are perfectly positioned for comfort and ease of use. Some games are also easier on this pad than on the normal xbox controllers.
Everything on this pad is smaller and easier to get to and it also feels nicer for ... ...pad smaller because they have just been rearranged a bit for more comfort.
The pad is very durable. I know this because i have had 4 controllers (2 official and 2 unofficial) and the unofficial pads always seem to stop working after about a month or 2 and I have had the official pads for about a year now and nothing has gone wrong with them yet.
In my opinion I prefer this pad to the normal xbox controllers and it is the best small pad out there ...

Advantages: This controller is smaller and is easy to grip Disadvantages: The controller is a pain in the arse.
.I know that many people love this pad but not me. I can't stand it, it looks horrible and the buttons are placed so they are more spread out and it is very simple to miss a particular button which can really tick you off when playing an intense game with yer mates. The worst thing about this controller is that it breaks relatively quickly and in my experience its always the two triggers that get stuck and you end up having to pull them out every ... ...controller as they bought their xbox only last year and it comes in with the package deal, all of my friends hateit as much as I do and they could really back me up on this review. You really have to trust me on this rather to-the-point review and DON'T BUY IT! Get the mini pad I have no arguement with them I think they are damn sexy, or get the origional controller as I have because unless you sit, step or sexually abuse them then they will last ...

Advantages: Easy to get to grips with Disadvantages: none
This is the better controller for the Xbox as u can see.Firstley this one is a lot smaller and is a lot more easy to get to grips with. And Secondly it is a lot more easier for kids to use as u don’t have to keep holding it with one hand and pressing the button's with the other.
I don’t know about most of u Xbox owners but with the big controller u had to keep holding it in one hand just to reach the white and black. Got so sick of that so I just ... ...times I got sick and fed up on reaching the black and white on halo I just had to get rid of it.
If you was somebody trying to get an Xbox or somebody who already has I would advise you to buy one with this type of controller then it saves you’re the agro and the stress. ...
