Hi, I have decided to try out a new technique in my writing, I hope it makes the review more interesting and helpful. ============ Comparisons ==================
The two console are a lot like each other, the XBOX is newer, and runs faster, but the PS2 is older yet, got better games. The XBOX is a big console, that looks like a brick, which you could stand on and it wont break, it is a hard ass console. The PS2 is a smaller console, and easier to place in the house. There is 2 versions of the PS2, there is the regular size, and now that i know of there is a pocket size, which is freaking me out a bit. The XBOX only has one version, which is the version the people want. The PS2 has two colours, as does the XBOX, the PS2 can be bought in Black or Silver, and the XBOX can be bought in Black or Crystal (limited edition). The games are quite similar, as some of the games are on both consoles, but some of them are actually made just for the specific console, like the XBOX has Halo, Halo 2, Dead or Alive 3, and the Playstaion 2 on the other hand has the Final Fantasies, which are very good in my point of view, great RPG's. Now you can't really compare Halo to the Final Fantasy games, as they are two different games in general, ones shooting and ones a hardcore RPG. *****************************=========== Accessories =================
The PS2 has loads of accessories, like the guns that you use to play certain shooting games like Time Crisis, and Vampire Night. Theres also an adapter you can get to upgrade your PS2 to be able to play over the internet, but it requires a modem which can clog up your phone line. There are others also like steering wheels and pedals to play racing games better, I have a steering wheel and pedals that I play Gran Turismo 3 with, makes the game so much better. Then there are loads more like controllers, then special controllers, and memory cards that hold all of your saved games, all very useful when the time comes around. The XBOX on the other hand also has loads of accessories, like more controllers, which when you want to play 4 player Halo, or memory cards, if you have clogged up the memory on your XBOX already, and loads of other things also, I dont know many of them for the XBOX as I dont use accessories much for it, but you will find loads of stuff when you go onto internet gaming shops and all that. *****************************=========== Controllers =================
The PS2 controllers are nice and small, so that it is easy for young children to use, and also it is easy to remember where the controls are, as the controller is all neat and tidy, pretty much the exact same as the PS1 controller, but with a different colour, instead of grey, its black. You can use your old PS1 controllers for the PS2, only if you PS1 controller has Analogs on them (the 2 black sticks that are around the start and select buttons). The XBOX controllers can be horrible for young children to use, they are so big, and hard to find where the controls are, but now thanks to microsoft, they have re created the controllers in a smaller form, so you can buy the regular big ones (good for older people) or the nice tiny ones (good for people with small hands). *****************************=========== Final Verdict =================
Both consoles are as entertaining as each other, but in my point of view I think it will have to be the Playsation 2 (give a round of applause), because it has better games, better accessories, and also has the uniqueness to it, even though the XBOX has a faster engine, and sounds like a Formula 1 car speeding, but the Playstation 2 is the better one overal! (+) Plenty of storage space, for media. Good Games, Great for partys, with singstar. Very Reliable. (-) Sometimes the optical drive, breaks; but not very likely, my 60gb still working after 2 1/2 years.
xbox should win as it has better graphics, more memory, loads of accsesories and faster
