The ADF-600EL is a 25-page automatic document feeder designed for the demands of the corporate office. It is an essential accessory for hands-free scanning, archiving, and document management. Installation is easy and fits on top of the scanner in place of the scanner lid. No external power is required, and the ADF-600EL plugs into the accessory port on the back of the scanner - and you're ready to go!
Advantages: saves time manual scanning Disadvantages: a bit noisy and quite expensive
...This documentfeeder is a handy product which currently costs about GBP160 to buy. It is cheaper in the US at $199.
WHAT IS IT?
The HP Scanjet AutomaticDocumentFeeder attaches to HP Scanjets and is compatible with the Scanjet 5100, 5200, 6200 and 6300 series scanners. It then scans documentsautomatically.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
You put up to 25 pages of loose paper in it and click a button. The loose pages will then be scanned into your computer. Wow! Now if you only scan one document a day, you might not want to shell out £160 for one of these, but if you do a lot of it, or pay someone to stand over a scanner and do it for you, the economics of this might start to make sense.
INSTALLATION:
Attaching it to your scanner is simple: you take the original lid of your scanner off by lifting it vertically and the docment...

Advantages: Affordable, solid, good quality and you can rest cups of tea on top! Disadvantages: Sometimes slow to scan and other scanners do have better quality
...We have had out Microtek Scanmaker 3600 for well over 5 years now and it is still going strong and doing the job for our entire family. I'm not sure how much we paid for it, but it was not a lot because we just wanted a basic scanner that could scan in documents. It is very reliable, easy to use, with a suitable range of features but has the tendency to be a bit slow occasionally.
1. Looks, Design and Size
The scanner is fairly good looking, quite elegant and fairly compact. It measures approximately 17" long, 10" across and 4" high so can fit into most desktop areas. It has a solid build to it and rather funky curve on the lid that gives it some added style. Furthermore, the main surface is flat and you can easily rest your cup of tea, lunch or bits of paper on top! The white colour is easy on the eye and fits in to most rooms...

Advantages: Durable, Programmable, Easy to Set Disadvantages: Too Slow for Offices, Quality Pictures Require Changing Settings
...need, but as they say, boxes can lie. It's only logical to buy something a bit above your needs, just in case they increase or the company likes to add a few fake points.
ASAP Functions
Supposedly, your scanner should be fast and you would never even check out the software you installed. It means everything has to be accessible at one click.
This scanner can send a document to print, email the image, put it into a text editor (like Word) to make changes, or upload it immediately to the website of your choice. That should be enough for an average user - it functions well. One very useful function is that the scannerautomatically notices where the scanned material ends, and excludes the rest.
What could be insufficient is the fact the scanner is not a human being and does not know how bright or contrasted you want your...
