The installation is quick and simple, simply plug in to computer and install the software - if you have ever installed a printer the same principle applies. The manual is swift and easy to read but most everything can be worked out by intuition and simple tinkering.
One word of warning though - once people find out you have one they start hinting at how great it would be if their negatives could be scanned also!! I have seen some adverts for people who charge for this service.
While this is not the best scanner on the market it is in my opinion excellent value for money and suitable for any normal use (unless you wish to blow the prints up enormously (ie up to A3 size)
