Ultimate microwave, great product, you won't regret the purchase Advantages: Heat time Disadvantages: Holes at top I have owned this microwave for a few months now and it well yes it is a microwave but it does so much more than just that. Since I bought it I have used all three functions which I shall comment on: Microwaving - This model is a whopping 1000w which is currently the most powerful setting you can get on a microwave this size, if you do require more (which I really doubt but if you do consider a wall built one), on average when cooking something microwaveable ... ...to get the same effect in obviously less time. Oven - The 1st time please read the manual and turn the oven on but with nothing inside as the oil used to protect the element has to evaporate (more on this is inside the manual) Grill - Grills perfect but some foods aren't meant for microwave cooking so please read the back of the food packet before you do so. Panasonic Microwave Problems Advantages: very handsome unit with excellent features Disadvantages: units are extremely prone to failure due to stressed INVERTED power supply technology ...all, please be aware that Panasonic Microwaves have an inverter supply to its magnetron, which is a high voltage step up to heat the food, this inverter technology is prone to high rates of failure, and occurences of Panasonic MWave failures relating to theyre inverter technolgies are rife. As ever these units are failing after 1-3 year mark, and cost of repair, despite the general higher cost of this prestige brand, is uneconimical, as i have found ... ...are far too taxing for Panasonic engineers to deliver an inverter unit that shows reliance of the heavier, yet more reliable technolgy of heavy standard transformer based units like Sharp, and others.Weight has no bearing on microwave units as they are effectively static devices. Efficient, High quality & stylish microwave cooking -£40 at Asda Advantages: Efficient, High quality & stylish microwave cooking - cooks a mean jacket Disadvantages: nope Wow reduced from £60, this is now a proper bargain at £60, I paid that 2 months ago and I thought was getting a bargain then! Sleek, affordable & quick Dinners! Those are the pluses of buying your microwave from Sanyo. Very shiney exterior and looks good anywhere you place it. Daewoo KOR-8A0R - Funky Microwave for cheap price Advantages: It looks great, plus does everything it promises Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily We bought this Microwave about 7 months ago and it was a great buy. The black shiny casing is classy and funky, stands out in the kitchen as you would expect. Saying that it shows up dust and finger prints very easily! The inside is large which is a plus and apparently has some sort of new technology that works more effectively than normal microwaves, all that I can say is that it works very well and is quiet as well. The only problem I have with ... ...temperature settings, for frozen, one touch settings ect, it is difficult to get exact times with the timer dial. It will only recognize 10 second intervals and skips about easily, so for example getting 2 minutes 30 seconds can take some fiddling. Failed after 3 months. Advantages: Lots of features. Disadvantages: Controls and Display not same as other AEG equipment. Instruction errors. Failed after 3 months. Recently got one of these. Impressed with the features. the 1000w Microwave is probably too strong to cook most things. The inside of the oven can get dirty etc when using it as a oven / grill. also the controls and display are not compltly in line with other AEG equipment, so if you have this and an AEG oven built in next to one another the differences show up. I also noticed the instruction booklet has errors. The diagram for the controls is incorrect ... ...My MCC3880EM failed after 3 months when the Microwave kept running when it was turned off. In a matter of minutes the glass plate was literally red hot and there was an area in the plate that was molten, the glass dripping down. There was also damage to the case and the inside of the door, causing smoke to emit from the oven. I ended up turning the oven off at the consumer unit.
