I have owned this microwave for a few months now and it well yes it is a microwave but it does so much more than just that. Since I bought it I have used all three functions which I shall comment on: Microwaving - This model is a whopping 1000w which is currently the most powerful setting you can get on a microwave this size, if you do require more (which I really doubt but if you do consider a wall built one), on average when cooking something microwaveable ... ...to get the same effect in obviously less time. Oven - The 1st time please read the manual and turn the oven on but with nothing inside as the oil used to protect the element has to evaporate (more on this is inside the manual) Grill - Grills perfect but some foods aren't meant for microwave cooking so please read the back of the food packet before you do so. Overall its a great microwave but yes there is one problem which won't apply to everyone, ...
Advantages: Cheap price for a stainless steel combination microwave oven. Disadvantages: Poor build quality and components.Cheap but not cheerful. Large & cumbersome
...manufacturers who make quality pans, but now I'm not sure it is the same company, and if it is, they need to stick to making pans. I will not be buying another Prestige electrical product and would advise people to think twice before buying a microwave from this manufacturer's range. ...
Advantages: It looked the part but wasn't up to the job Disadvantages: The grill element broke twice. The second time it left shards of glass inside the microwave.
I bought the sister to this model, the 1751 last July 2008. The grill did not work and they repaired it and then it failed again and AEG said they could not repair it and had stopped making it. The 1751 and 1761 are identical other than the size of the housing. As a built in microwave it was obviously essential to me to be able to replace the microwave with one of an identical size, to fit in the space specifically made for it in my hand made kitchen. ... ...model which is 10 cms bigger than the cupboard! I managed to source an alternative which was a Miele. This would have cost AEG about £100/150 to supply it to me, and I was well within the 12 month guarantee. THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME. I contacted Miele and they were absolutely brilliant. They supplied me with a M8151 at a substantial discount, so my new kitchen is complete once more. AEG guarantees their microwave for 1 year, but Miele's guarantee is ...
Advantages: Quick Start function/Grill/Variable Power and Grill levels/2 Year Guarantee Disadvantages: I can't really find any disadvantages.
...service received by me from Miele will ensure that from now on it will only be Miele for me. My mother owns a Miele automatic washing machine and she has had it for 24 years, so I think the brand name speaks for itself. You are getting quality and good back up service, both of which are equally important to me.
The microwave is easy to use, and I like the quick start function that allows you to microwave something for 30/60/90 seconds at the push ... ...turned out for me, their one year guarantee was worthless, because offering to refund my money, but leaving me with a hole in the wall in a brand new kitchen was no help at all.) As I said in my review title - its Miele for me from now on. ...

Review of Miele M 8151
Advantages: A Very stylish and modern microwave! Disadvantages: None!
My Reasons For Purchasing The Hinari Lifestyle Microwave: Over the last ten years or so I have gone through about five different Microwaves ovens. Well I have four daughters and between the making of their feeds when they where small and just the everyday use they got, I guess I just wore them out quickly. I found most of the Microwaves I previously owned all ended up getting a small hole in the inside of the plastic micra waveguard cover that ... ...and noticed an attractive, silver Hinari Microwave for £49.99. I also noticed it was available in a beautiful, shiny, new modern black colour also and I just had to have it really when I set eyes on it. It really looked very stylish and modern to me at that time. Well the black colour in this make was £10 more than the silver one. I did check out all the other features it had also and made sure it was 800 watts and that it had what I needed on board ...
