Midnight Club LA is street racing game which involves buying, modyfying and racing cars and bikes. The game has a great story line and can kepp you entertained for hours. The map on the game is massive, it includes famouse places in and around LA making the game feel realistic and more fun to play.
There is a nice choice of cars inclisding an Adui, a couple of Lamborgini's, Mercedes, a Nissan Skyline and a Mitsubshi Evo. Like other games in this genre, the first car you buy is an old banger which you can modify internaly and externaly, including the engine. What i really like about this is the choice of things you can do to your car in order to make it exactly how you want it. It is so specfic it even gives you the option of changing the steering wheel and the speed dials. You dont see this on many games these days so i think this is a really big advanteg over other games like it.
There is also a noice choice of views you can have whalst playing the game including a cockpit view which is excellent during gameplay and very realistic. What isn't so good however is the way the way some of the cars handle. If you were to spend $175,000 of your hard earnt money on a Lamborghini Gallardo or even $580,000 on Saleen S7 you would expect them both to drive pretty nicely, unfortunatly though they dont making this a bad point about the game. To be fair though before purchasing a car you do have the chance to take it for a test drive to see if it really meets your needs. As mentioned, on the game there are also a choice of three motorbikes - The Ducati Monster S4RS, the Ducati 999R and the Kawsaki Ninja ZX-14 and again im afraid to say the handling of these bikes are not really realistic at all - don't let this put you off though because the game in itself is very very good - there are more pros then cons.
The missions on the game include gaining recpect of fellow street racers helping you to make more money per race. Once you get toa certain point of the game it gives you the opportuntiy to race for cars you cant buy straight away even if you have the money - these are known as 'DUB' cars, there are four of them and they include a Dodge Challenger, a Mercedes Benz S600, the Chevrolet Camaro and finally the Lamborghini Murcieelago. They are hard to win but extremly quick!
To round up i would say this game is brilliant, the choice of cars is great and even the amount of money they cost is pretty realistic. Also the amount of things you can do to them to make them how you want them is mind blowing, if you get into the game you will spend ages making your car look exactly how you want it to. I can only fault this game in one way and that is they way the cars and bikes handle, other then that it is spot on.
