Advantages Advantages Ability to mod, brilliance of it, price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Defaults.

Fun, creative, and bloody exhausting! This hit 2000 game is one of the best I've had the pleasure of owning! And I can honestly say, I am guaranteed to play it at least one a day! So what's it all about? Well, the game, of course made and designed by Microsoft is a sequel to Midtown Madness, another success, the idea is to complete driving tasks in one of the cities included. It's genre is a racing game. What features are there with the game? Well, you have a wide selection of vehicles to choose from, including a Routemaster London bus, a London Cab and mini coopers! Aswell as other racing ... more

Advantages Advantages Better graphic and slightly improved game play. More cars and two new cities. Very similar to original, and that was a great game, so this must be good too

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little too like the original. Too much to pay for an add-on

Microsoft brought us the original Midtown Madness game a few years ago now, and it broke the mould for racing games. No more racing around in circles on race tracks, repeating the same manoeuvres lap after, midtown madness broke all the linear rules and allowed you to take your car wherever you felt like in the big city of Chicago as well as making it feel so real you were there. Now the classic game is back with all the great features of the original transferred into the cities of London and San Francisco. OK so there is not that much difference between the original and this version, and at a ... more

Advantages Advantages Great gameplay, will last until Ultima 99 is released

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lame graphics, more glitches than a new release of Windows

Midtown Madness... Why the word town is used in the title is a mystery to me as the two maps are actually based on cities. My mind is getting completely warped these days. I normally wouldn't care two jots what the game was called as long as it played well, looks like I'm losing my marbles at the age of 22. Is that too early or just right? MTM2 is the sequel to a great game that got many hours of use over the last couple of years. I was going to say that it brought the game's graphics kicking and screaming into the new millennium but actually, although an improvement on the original, they are ... more

Advantages Advantages great fun arcade game

Disadvantages Disadvantages short, not many tracks

Midtown Madness is a great arcade racing game where you race, usually to checkpoints, as fast as you can. The game calls it self ‘no rules’ racing. This is because you can do anything to win, including ramming your opponents of the track, and taking shortcuts. It is based in a city (Chicago in the original and London and San Francisco in the sequel), and doesn’t have an especially designed track like in most racing games. Midtown Madness 2 adds a lot to the game, unlike some sequels that just have better graphics. The first thing you’ll probably do when you start the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lots of variety

Disadvantages Disadvantages Graphics can suffer on low spec machines

I don't know why I bought it, but I'm glad that I did. Midtown Madness 2 for the PC is probably one of the best PC games I've ever bought. When I say I don't know why I bought, I actually do. It was in a double pack along with Motocross Madness 2, all for just £29.99, cheaper than one of them individually. I've been playing Midnight Club on the PS2 for the last few weeks, and Smugglers Run on PS2 just before that, and have began to love these games where there are no set tracks to follow as you would find in most racing games. This is yet another Microsoft game. Most people would say that ... more
