Advantages: Great for pet hair, quiet, powerful Disadvantages: None that I've found
...After going through 2 vacuums in 3 years, I decided to try to find a longer-lasting replacement .
This model and Miele's 'cat & dog' both had the requirements I needed - that the vacuum would pick up cat and dog hair well and hopefully, with Miele's good reputation, have durability. A consumer magazine recommended both of these but as the 571 was the cheaper of the two and got the highest test score, I decided to opt for it and have not been disappointed.
I ordered online after shopping around for the best price and it was delivered within 3 days. It's a cylinder and has a smart black case that neatly opens to reveal the onboard tools of a dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery brush. It was simple, even for me, to connect the hose and telescopic poles and with the dustbag already fitted, (easy to change too) I was ready...

Advantages: Very Quiet, Efficient, Economical, Drying Options to Suit All Loads, Timer Delay Disadvantages: More expensive to buy initially - but worth every penny ! Slightly more creases than other brands .
...This Tumble dryer is really superb. I have had Bosch and Hotpoint dryers for the last 15 years and been fairly happy with them. Owning the Miele has made me realise what I could have had for all these years!
The Miele dryer is very efficient and has intelligent sensors. It starts off estimating how long the programme will take but then adjusts its timer to automatically suit the moisture content in the drum. This makes it very economical as it always shortens the time.
I have complete control over the programme cycles. The timer delay allows for cheap rate usage at night with the benefit of the quietest machine I have ever heard. We do not get disturbed in the night at all. The functions for extra dry, normal, hand iron, machine iron and low temperature mean that you choose what condition the washing is in when it comes out...

Advantages: Quiet, Excellent hardfloor cleaning, easy to use. Disadvantages: Not so great on pet hair, eats bags!!
...To cut to the chase me & vacuum cleaners don't get on! I break them or they are just not right for me! I recently purchased a Dyson dco7 upright It's a superb vacuum but i think they have used the decommisioned concorde engines in them as the noise was horrendusly loud & it was too big & bulky so i needed a different model.
I prefer a cylinder type cleaner & had heard great things about the Miele range & i have not been dissapointed. The above disadvantages refer more to my choice of model than Miele as a brand. The model in question is the Miele S381. It has an 1800 watt motor & is refered to on Miele's website as being bahama blue in colour. It seems to be the most basic cleaner in the Miele line up & cost £99 from Currys. I have looked in several other stores & have not seen this particular model anywhere elese.
TOOLS & SET UP...
