...'t put off, and opted for another Miele fridge. It was, in fact, the same in design as this one. The only difference was the model name and it's width which was about 554mm.
Again we went to John Lewis to order and the fridge came. The new appliance buzz you get wasn't quite the same because the internal fridge looked exactly the same as the old one. Nevermind. So much space, even with the decreased width because no ice.
Anyway........our problems started again. The temperature wouldn't maintain. I had to have the maximum setting to keep it to 5 or 6 degrees (and the weather wasn't that hot). I was too nervous to keep the baby milk in there.
Before the week was up I'd contacted John Lewis and we exchanged the fridge for an AEG which has so far been brilliant.
A difficult purchase as there isn't a great deal at 550mm width...

...We needed a new washing machine after our AEG machine had gone wrong after only 18 months. We were messed about for two weeks while they tried to fix it but in the end we decided we couldn’t take any more. We went to John Lewis and looked at all the machines and read all information we could find and in the end decided to buy the Miele 3824. While it was at the top end, if not beyond what we wanted to pay the quality and security we got from the 10 year parts and labour warranty made it worth while. We went into the store and ordered it on a Thursday and they arranged a special delivery for Saturday morning.
It took one delivery driver to wheel out the old AEG but two of them with some skill to wheel in the Miele. Out of all the machines we looked at these are the best built and very solid. They are so heavy that one person...

Advantages: Great for pet hair, quiet, powerful Disadvantages: None that I've found
...After going through 2 vacuums in 3 years, I decided to try to find a longer-lasting replacement .
This model and Miele's 'cat & dog' both had the requirements I needed - that the vacuum would pick up cat and dog hair well and hopefully, with Miele's good reputation, have durability. A consumer magazine recommended both of these but as the 571 was the cheaper of the two and got the highest test score, I decided to opt for it and have not been disappointed.
I ordered online after shopping around for the best price and it was delivered within 3 days. It's a cylinder and has a smart black case that neatly opens to reveal the onboard tools of a dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery brush. It was simple, even for me, to connect the hose and telescopic poles and with the dustbag already fitted, (easy to change too) I was ready...
