We bought this fridge freezer when we moved house last year, to replace a Siemens one, which we sold with the house. We liked the Miele brand, and we also liked the good size of the fridge and freezer, plus the style and colour of the door handles.

We like the drawers in the freezer compartment, which unlike our last fridge freezer, make it easy to store food separately, and find food again easily.

The fridge is a good size and because it is at the top, we found this better than the other one we had, where the freezer compartment was at the top. Since you use the fridge more regularly, it makes sense for it to be at the top so there is less bending required.

We like the digital display for turning the fridge and freezers up and down. There is also an alarm which sounds either when the door has been open too long (can be a little annoying! But you can switch this off), or if the electricity has gone off.

Bad points: our fridge compartment has a tendency to frost over at the back, which is a bit annoying, and also, the fridge freezer is quite noisy. It cracks and bangs quite a lot, which when we complained to Miele about it (we live in an open plan house and the noise would sometimes wake us up!), they came out and fitted a hush kit free of charge, which seems to have solved the problem.

All in all, we are very happy with the product and would recommend it, and Miele themselves have always been very good for aftercare.

Hi and a good first review. More detail would get higher ratings. If you read similar reviews and comments that may give you a few ideas. Let me know if you add to this review. I am happy to re-rate if you leave a message in my guest book. Lin

Nice good review, you make some good observations - I'd never considered how illogical it is to have the freezer at the top, and bend for the fridge every time! I lived with my fridge/freezer that way all of last year and was forever kneeling on the floor to get to the bottom shelf.
