...We were moving from house which had an integrated fridge and an integrated freezer. Our new house didn't have space for separate units, so we needed a fridge freezer. I shopped around but the cheapest integrated fridge freezer I could find was £500. I ended up getting a Miele one for £600. It has separate compressors for the fridge and the freezer, which means that you can adjust the temperature of the two compartments independantly. Cheaper fridge/freezers have one compressor which means you have to strike a balance between having the frozen food cold enough without freezing your milk. Our model has a big larder fridge and a 2 drawer freezer. We live close to supermarkets so it isn't a big problem to have a small freezer. I don't have any problems with the fridge - it works.
