Miele S251 Miele Plus

Advantages: excellent build quiet reliable
Disadvantages: initial outlay

...Our latest addition to the kitchen was a new Miele W360 washing machine. the last washing machine we had was a Zanussi Washer/dryer and after 6 years it was no longer economical to repair needing a new timer at a cost of £113.00 plus fitting the best part of a new machine! We looked arround at various machines but kept finding that the attention to detail on all the Miele machines could not be matched by any of the other manufacturers. In the end would got an excellent deal on the Miele with free delivery! The first thing I noticed about the machine was the quality. For starters it was solid and no amount of moving it damaged the excellent finish you only had to look at the Zanussi and the enamel would come off! Advantages: This machine was almost silent when i first bought it and it is very clever!
Disadvantages: This leaves "swirl marks" on the glasses, but actually washes everything very well.

...at first it was almost silent, now it is aroundabout normal in dishwasher noise levels. It has loads and loads of different functions, and the best thing about it is, if you are a constantly paranoid person like me, you can just open the dishwasher door before you go out, and the machine will stop. When you come back in, simply close the dishwasher door and it will finish what it is doing. I rarely have to put items back into the dishwasher as they have not been cleaned very well. Expensive but worth it. Good quality from Miele as usual. Miele are renound for their quality and reliability. I would recomend that you buy this machine if you can afford it.... Read review

Advantages: Too many advantages - throw away your Dyson!
Disadvantages: None as of yet!

...wooden floors with Persian and woollen rugs and two very hairy, very moulty dogs who have the run of the house - the Miele removes all traces of their presence within minutes whereas my Dyson would take an hour or so just to do the downstairs! It has six different power settings ranging from 900 for delicate rugs (and cushion covers!!!!) to 1800 for everything else! I rarely even use a duster these days as I find my Miele dusting brush more efficient. To be totally honest, I wish I'd bought one of these little gems years ago. You get no bad smells from the unit (unlike with some vacuums), you can vacuum ANYTHING with it - I do the velvet curtains in the lounge and they come up wonderfully.
